Harman talks very sensibly and is very calm . Resembles Dhoni slightly. Her press conference was very good. Right answers and at the same time didn't reveal everything.

Rewards' list for World Cup winners---

Money Falling Down GIFs | TenorImage tagged with money, money gif, gif – @ohsoprettay on Tumblr

BCCI is elated and without touching anything from the ICC kitty, BCCI on its own is going to pay, as a reward, of INR 51 crores to the Indian team. That amount will go to the players, selectors as well as the support staff headed by Amol Muzumdar," Saikia said.

The reward from the BCCI is in addition to ICC's revision to the winners prize money. Ahead of the competition, ICC Chairman Jay Shah had announced a significant hike in the prize money for teams at the Women's World Cup, with the winners set to receive USD 4.48 million (approximately INR 42 crore). This is a big jump from what Australia's women's team got in 2022 - USD 1.32 million - and an improvement on what their men's side received for upstaging India in Ahmedabad in 2023 - USD 4 million.

Last year, after Rohit Sharma’s team clinched the T20 World Cup in the Americas, the BCCI had announced a massive ₹125 crore bonus for the entire squad — including players and support staff. A similar announcement for the women’s team, if they triumph, would represent an unprecedented recognition of their success and contribution to Indian cricket.

The prospect marks a dramatic evolution from 2017, when the Indian women’s team fell agonizingly short in the World Cup final at Lord’s, losing to England by nine runs. Despite the heartbreak, each player was rewarded ₹50 lakh, while the coaching and support staff were also acknowledged for their efforts.

India won the World Cup after beating South Africa by 52 runs in the summit clash. (Surjeet Yadav)
