Episode 1

It was afternoon 1 o clock were the camera was panning over AJ Institute of Technology,Ahmedabad were the college was having pin drop silence due to Exams. The camera was kept on panning to the 3rd Floor of the collage and finally landed on a corner room of that corridor were a Invigilator was now slowly letting out his voice.

Invigilator: Last 10 minutes

While hearing this words that was the moment a beautiful hand that was holding the pen finishing the last word of the exam paper kept a full stop. Her hands now started to turn the paper slowly and her eyes were checking whether all the answers are answered correctly were as time was moving her hands arranged the answer sheets and she now tied the paper with the thread that was provided to her.

At the end of 10th minute Invigilator started to collect the papers were the beautiful hand now handed over her answer sheets to Invigilator and picking all her pen and penciles she came out of the exam hall and collected her bag that was kept in outside shelf and putting her things in her bag and when she wore her bag in her shoulder a voice called her "Parvati"
Were now hearing it 22 year old Parvati turned to see the direction from where the voice came were a smile came in her beautiful lips seeing her close friend Nanavati.

Nanavati(coming towards Parvati) : Parvati how was the exam?

Parvati(before she answers)

Nanavati: you would have wrote the exam well only all the time you are only topper. In B.tech you were Gold medalist now in M.tech too I am sure you will win gold Medal

Parvati: Today we have finished the last exam of our 2nd semester only we have 2 more semester left after that 2 semesters let's see who is going to be gold medalist. More than Gold medal knowledge comes first we should gain knowledge we should love what we study that is only very important

Nanavati:mmm okay okay I am going to be a just pass student only what ever you tell education will be a just pass only for me okay fine leave that from this moment semester holidays starts. One month let's enjoy the holidays.

Parvati: haan

Talking with each other they walked among others students who were coming out of the exam halls were they were able to see their classmates when they came to the ground floor were chatting with their classmates for sometime and wishing all of them a happy holidays and they both moved and came out of the collage and came to the bus stand.

Nanavati: Today you will get seat in bus know?

Parvati: Haan other days after finishing the collage in the evening I won't get seat to sit and I will have to stand till I reach my stop but today as it's afternoon I will get a seat to sit in the bus.

Nanavati: You know what Parvati I am proud of you.

Parvati: why?

Nanavati: I am in Ahmedabad only but travelling daily and coming to collage in this traffic itself I am feeling hectic but you are coming from Shivpura village and daily traveling Around 50 kms you are coming to Ahmedabad to study.B.tech 4 years and now almost M.tech 1 year travelling this much distance you are coming for education.

Parvati(with a smile) : Because Education is everything for me I should finish this M.tech I need to get placed in a good software company I need to create so many Websites,applications,mobile games, video games etc etc and should enjoy software engineering each and everyday

Nanavati: For your hard work and mainly for this Daily travelling itself definitely one day you will be the best computer software engineer.

Parvati: hmm let's see (as she said this bus to her village came were seeing it turned and saw Nanavati): Okay happy holidays let me get into the bus.

Nanavati: Mmm bye Happy holidays.

Parvati with a happy smile got into the bus and got a seat near a window were other few students too got in the bus were Parvati waved bye to Nanavati were Nanavati too waved bye to her. The bus started to move towards Parvati's village

Episode 2

As the bus started to move Parvati sat well in the seat and she had a Happy smile in her face.

Parvati(in thoughts): Just one more year If I finish this studies I will be a proud M. Tech graduate.(she closed her eyes and thought about getting M.tech degree next year after finishing two more semesters were now she opened her eyes and in thoughts): while thinking it as dream itself how happy I am feeling. Haan how I cannot be feeling Happy about this dream because for this dream I struggled, I am struggling and I don't know what all struggles are yet to come.

Parvati(taking a deep breath and in thoughts) : haan the day woman takes her birth in this world all her decision are in male gender hands only. I was born in a small village which is called shivpura village. My father name is Raman Patel, a farmer we have 1 hectare land as a ancestral property and in that Papa doing agriculture and with than agriculture only our life is going on. My mother name is jaya Patel, A house wife and Mama too help Papa in his agricultural work.I have a big sister Anandi patel and she has studied till her 12th and when she was 18 years old Papa made the decision and married her to a farmer named Raj mehra and now her name is Anandi Mehra and she has a little daughter Anupama Mehra. I have a Big brother Dev Patel he has studied up to 10th standard and he was not interested to study further so he started to work along with my papa and he is also doing agriculture now. (Were thinking it she closed her eyes were flashbacks were coming in front of her)

FLASHBACK

Raman(driving the tricycle and making all his 3 children sit in the back of the tricycle and to them) : Education is just needed to the level of living our life for that only mama and papa are sending you to the government school in our village

parvati(in thoughts): mmm I finished my primary school in the government school in our Village. After that we never had the secondary or senior secondary school in our Village so I travelled 5 kms daily with My Father, Sister and Brother in our tricycle for my secondary and senior secondary school education in the nearby village called Rampura and it was also government school only.

FLASHBACK

when Anandi Patel finished her senior secondary education

Raman: Jaya we have got a alliance for Anandi groom name is Raj Mehra nice man and he is a farmer as well so inform Anandi to be ready for her marriage.

Parvati(a young girl seeing her father) : Papa after school didi has to go to collage only know why marriage?

Raman(with a smile): Education is needed only to know calculation for example we should know how to calculate the length of our land, we should know how to calculate the yield from our land and we should know how to calculate money that we get. And woman just need education to the level to manage family for example she should know to count the income her husband is giving her, to manage the budget of the family and to gain knowledge in cooking only. woman should never study a lot and woman should never think to be Beyond a man in family. your Didi studied to that level so she is getting married.

Parvati shook her head as yes silently to her father

Her mother who always obeys her father words without any reacting words made her elder daughter ready for marriage groom came and saw Anandi didi and finally her marriage too happend.

FLASHBACK ENDS

Parvati(in thoughts): After didi getting married and went from our house next my elder brother stopped his education in 10th itself telling he is not interested in studies. Papa too said okay to it as he knows the calculation.(now with a silent face) : As my education was getting higher and higher somewhere without to my control love for computers started to grow inside me and in my home too everything went well for me too until I complete my senior secondary school. And problem started on the day of my final senior secondary school board exam results

FLASHBACK(on the day of Parvat's senior secondary board exam result)

She got her results were she was district first in her senior secondary board exam.
She scored very good marks and after checking her result in her school board almost her headmaster, school teachers got extremely Happy and hugged her.

Headmaster: We are proud of you Parvati

Parvati: Thank you sir

Headmaster: Next what you wish to study?

Parvati: As I studied computer science in my senior secondary I would like to join B.Tech and I need to study and achieve a lot in software field sir.

Headmaster: good

parvati(now silently): But papa won't be leaving me to go to collage.

Headmaster: why?

Parvati: according to papa senior secondary is the enough education for woman and he will now try for my marriage only.

Headmaster: No parvati this is not correct age for marriage.

Parvati: I know sir but government collages are too not Available near by to me and papa won't accept to go so much distance for studies and he won't be ready to spend money on education too.

Headmaster : Parvati I Will try my best for your scholarship and you attend the counseling as your marks are good you can choose the collage as per your wish

Parvati:hmmm will try sir

Flashback

Parvati talking to her headmaster and then she came back home happily and hugged her mother.

Parvati : Maa I have passed in higher secondary examination and I am district first.Now I can join my B.tech in college and my headmaster has said he will arrange for my scholarship.

Jaya: what you are going to study after this?

Parvati:haan maa my headmaster said he will try to arrange for the scholarship for me to study B.Tech.

Jaya: Parvati you have finished your studies that's it what you are going to study more than this?

Parvati: Maa if I study B.Tech and then finish M.tech know I can make so many revolution in software field.

Jaya: see papa has Already told me that next is your marriage only so get ready for Marriage. More than this what you are going to study?

Parvati: Maa please I can study well and I will go to job and take care of our family (as she was telling it she heard a voice telling "I am still alive only parvati")

Hearing it Parvati saw the place from where she heard the voice were Raman was standing there with anger face.

Parvati: Papa

Raman: Enough of your studies learn all household works and soon groom Will come to Marry you.

Parvati (hearing it now tears were flowing in her eyes were she came and fell in Raman's feet) : Papa please give me education papa I can achieve a lot. More than keeping me alive without education you can kill me papa.

Raman(saw her) :You want to go to college know till today no woman have gone to college in our home.

Parvati: Papa please I have good marks I will try to opt for the nearby collage as much as possible.

Raman: After 50 km from our village only we have college. You have to stay in hostel and study if you want to go to college I won't allow you to stay outside from our house until you get married.

Paravati: Let me travel daily papa please let me study papa. I will travel from here 50 km and I will come back home in the evening travelling 50 km papa.

Raman(thinking and shaking his head as no): No way what ever you tell sending a woman to college studies I cannot accept that. What you are going to achieve by studying? Woman should be inside house only Parvati. If woman stay in home as a good daughter and good wife only men can walk in the roads with their head up.

Parvati: Papa please one chance please give me one chance I will definitely get seat in near by college itself. Somehow I will try to arrange for the scholarship through my headmaster I won't ask you to spend money on my education. If I get seat in our near by collage too I will not stay In hostel I will daily travel and go to college.

Raman(in strict voice) :ok try your best but if you Dont get seat in nearby college or if you don't get the scholarship you should marry the groom who ever I am seeing for you.

Parvati(with some hope in her life and with some courage wiping her tears): haan papa(telling it she walked and went into the small room)

Parvati travelling in the bus now thought about applying for counselling and then on the counselling date she went to Ahmedabad for counselling and she thought about undergoing counselling process and somehow with her marks she finally got her B.tech admission in AJ institute of technology in Ahmedabad. As there is no government colleges near to her locality she was put in a situation to choose AJ institute of technology. This is the only college that Is 50 km away from her home. Other colleges were too long for her.

FLASHBACK

parvati came back to home after she got seat in college through counselling. She saw Raman sitting in a wooden Easy chair were with a silent face she came and stood near him.

Raman(feeling her near him) : what happened? Ready for marriage know?

Parvati(in a calm tone) : Papa I got seat in AJ institute of Technology which is 50 km distance from our location.

Raman(with a calm face): got seat in college but who is going to pay the fees? I won't spare single money for education. Woman education is total waste to society.

Parvati: Papa my headmaster has said he will arrange for scholarship.

Raman : oh okay let's see that too I know you won't get scholarship.(telling it he got up from chair and went from there)

She almost didn't get to go. It was with difficulty she convinced her father.

Parents used be afraid to not get their daughters married on time. Otherwise they might not get married.
