The man who abused his daughter he had no say in whether to keep in the house or not. His mother should be kicked out along with Gautam.

His mother who raised him single-handedly into the Businessman he is today, whose sole aim was to bring their family the respect and her sons' talent a direction and whose fears are not without reason and infact have always proven right should be, what, again?

If anything, in their blind reverence of Shahs, they have repeatedly insulted her and her upbringing, they deserve to rot and beg ibfront of Shah Hauj.

Bade hamesha sahi, conditions apply (as long as they are Shahs), isn't it?

Don't know what is happening in the show these days, but just like flower pot roles of heroines in the films, being a wealthy businessman is just equal to being an eye candy on television.. Anuj too was also a billionaire businessman, still he turned out to be as headless as one can turn out to be.. One can count on fingers the number of billionaires are there in India.. Yet he was barely given any "power" to exercise. Mostly these big businessmen in these shows are one who keep getting manipulated, forever confused, trusting wrong people, being bogus at judging others and God forbid if they take any decision once in a blue moon, it is always a wrong decision which is very contradictory to how a really powerful person might behave in real life.. He wouldn't become a powerful person at first place with this kind of attitude.. So if Parag has no power - its understandable.. In Anupamaa show anyway no one has got any real power except Baa and Bapuji and in the ancient times it was Vanraj Shah who ruled. So called middle class but immensely powerful..

Exactly.

What is anyone's credential here? What is the barometer? Shahs?

Made up of:

2 eternally abusive, manipulative old couple whp supposedly always only abused and used their daughter-in-law turned daughter,

a son who has only ever done "kaands" his whole life,

a daughter-in-law who willingly slaves around despite being cheated on since forever,

a daughter who married for money, divorced when money dried at her in-laws, teaches her daughter to trap a rich boy and marry

A grandson who whiled away being a gamer and suddenly was "appointed" a manager in a company and is now bring handed over an empire by virtue of marrying the daughter of the owner

A drug addict grand daughter who first trapped a rich businessman's son, left him at the altar leaving him suicidal, escaped to another city in the guise of a new sponsored fashion course, left it mid-way to return and eye the same man who now happens to be her jeeja?

Parag's power is by virtue of being the head of Kothari Empire. He may have erred in siding by his daughter but his daughter never seemed his support even after being repeated asked about.

Now, him being Daanveer Karn and handing over everything to Anss had proven he is weak.

Kotharis & Shahs: When Bad Decisions Become a Family Tradition :

At this point, someone please tell Parag Kothari that being a “supportive father” doesn’t mean supporting every disaster your daughter walks into.

Let’s start from the top — Parag forced Prarthna into marrying Gautam. No consent, no understanding, just “I know what’s best for you, beta.” And what did that lead to? An abusive marriage. Congratulations, Parag — parenting level: catastrophe unlocked.

You’d think after one disaster he’d learn, right? Nope. Instead of helping Prarthna heal, he’s now cheering for her decision to marry Ansh Shah — yes, another round of chaos, this time with the Shah family, the unofficial ambassadors of drama and toxicity.

One forced marriage and one voluntary blunder — Parag is truly covering all bases of bad judgment.

And Prarthna — girl, we get it, you’ve been through a lot. But jumping from one fire straight into another isn’t healing, it’s self-destruction. The Shahs have a PhD in ruining relationships — you really thought you’d be the exception? Please.

Meanwhile Parag, you stood silently when Vasundhara allowed Gautam to stay in Kothari Mansion. Your silence screamed louder than any words could — weak, spineless, and complicit.

And then there’s Anupama, the “mahaan maa” who managed to turn Toshu and Pakhi into spoilt, self-centered mini-Shahs. Maybe she should’ve focused on parenting instead of giving endless pravachans that no one listens to.

The Shahs, as usual, are the same old toxic mess — every wedding, every alliance, every argument turns into a battlefield. They don’t solve problems; they breed them.

Between Parag’s blind faith, Prarthna’s impulsiveness, and the Shahs’ eternal drama, I think it’s safe to say — logic officially left the show ages ago.

And don’t be fooled by Leela’s sudden sweetness — she’ll smile for a while, but the day Prarthna’s baby cries too loud or breathes wrong, that woman will start spewing venom faster than a cobra.
