This is not about any specific character of DMG,it isnt about chemistry😆😆 is it there or it isnt, should we hire some detective agency to find solve this puzzle or not,nor the intention of this is to kick off some debate forcing our beloved mods take any action, this post is just me ruminating over the SHOW DMG in general and the great joy it was to watch not long before.

I had started to refrain from following ths show some time back, post holi to be precise but the anticipation of a new dawn, the lure of a better story track brought me back in front of my idiot box,I watched whole of last week, was sekptical of the new dawn after the bitter experience of the past(Mrach-April-May to be exact). But still I didnt see a story line .

Over the weekend I was back to my DVD collection of old DMG,Aug till Feb ..and am still amazed what this show was then.

Here is reliving on of the track I revisited from earlier episodes this weekend the Mrs.Singh delivery track...
It starts of with R pacifying Mrs.Singh that all will be all right....making a promise, forgetting the thin line between a well wisher and a doc...Anji convincing Kirti she wants to be on this case...A fiesty Anji and MrsSingh face the facts convo(also showing the contrasting nature of 2 sis)..Kirthi pulling up Anji for it..Anji shooting back with ,there is no right or wrong way of telling the truth...Kirthi admonishing R for the promise without knowing the facts..Anji and R tiff for R snatching the case from her...A and R bickering just before the operation..A advice of "Jiske saath problem hai ussi se baath karna chahiye"..R getting the point there..A tense OT scene...frantic Kirthi and R ...even in that tension a hilarious moment of a tensed Dr.Atul jumping into Anji's lap in the observation area(A far cry from the slapstick comedy that is dished out now)..Our dude doc praying under his breath "C'mon basket you can do it" and a fantastic closure to the track were a Proud R is watching the new born baby and her convo with herself about hospital, life ,death, battle field and cease fire...and as usual a quarrel betwen AR to end the epi...😆😆😆..network problem...😆😆..edge of the seat stuff..no need of promos which never happen in the actual serial or SBS gimmick to keep the viewers hooked...everthing subtle..great and gripping stroy line..jaane kahan gaye wo din

Sorry peeps for boring you..but just to remind people that there was more to this show than any individual character.

👏
well moulded into words
but what can we expect from makers who dont know what is right/wrong in their life and career
how can these ppl justify characters when they themselves are confused
they trying to divert our mind with changing the story track
but still no substance in it
just making or breaking the pairs doesnt make a serial
now it looks the last three months we hated so much very better than this month of june.

wonder how many are still hopeful for the good days to come back

Anagha..

The good old days sigh!Actually i do that quite often..recap..recap recap and everytime i wonder at the sensibilties and subtleties of this show once upon a time.It was full of original, well executed fantastic ideas and performances. And you are so right there wasnt any need of the sbs gimmicks nor a promise of a sizzling scenes in the promos. It was because no character was larger than the show.

SOmewhere along the way whether it was intentional or not the two main characters did get larger than the show and everythg revolved arnd them. The storyline, the audience, the trps, the expectations even the camera refused to capture any other face except theirs. And so when their world collapsed the show started to collapse.

The "anticipation of a new dawn" as you put it gave us some hope of revival of that old charm where all the characters would play their part and the story would be a little bit more abt their lives as doctors ,friends, colleagues not just lovers.
Altho its only been a week,i thk they have managed to take baby steps in the right direction. The new face is settling in and we and her coactors are now easing up to her just as she is easing upto her character and her coactors. The storyline is light and not too intense for its own good for now.
They just need to restore some sense back into the characters who as you pointed out did a lot more then make social conferences about getting the senior doctor and the sweet nurse into holy matrimony. If only they would treat some patients, discuss the complications while gazing into each others eyes if they must keep doing that!If only they would be their own individual selves agn rather than a matching bunch which follows a love code of sorts which makes them all seem alike..fools in love to be precise 😆

I have no idea Anagha what i hv blurted out and whether its in line with ur post.Penned what came to me when i read ur post which is fab btw 😊

Hey Anagha!
Sigh!!!!! The good old days! They were something were they not? But you know, I am still cautiously hopeful. Although I doubt that the glory of the hey days will return, but am hopeful that the mindlessness of the last few months will cease. As notty said, they are taking baby steps, the story is finally calming down, moving along, we have a wonderful opening again to explore R's issues with the adoption (I hope they will explore that), we finally have a communication channel open up between AR and they have finally realized the hazards of investing in only one thing-the chemistry. Although they are now always going to be somewhat held back by the TRP game, the need to play to the gallery and also some loss in their own creative ability, I still hope we can get a good show out of all this. A brilliant show though will remain only on your dvd's.

Post Note - I wish as an audience we could assure them somehow to move beyond what they think has worked in the past, to stop factory manufacturing each romance, to innovate. I am willing to take the plunge with them and I wish they would be brave enough to do the same.

@notty...thanks for your comment...it means a lot..even I just wrote down what came to my mind...just mentioned this particular scene here bcos even after wathcing it n mumber of times it leaves my nerves tingling ...you are right...it would take some time to be back to full intensity ....also they are trying to limp back to normalcy...atleast I fell they are willing to do that....

Rightly said...its not even funny these days to watch 6 interns whose own love life is in shambles trying to get the most matured ones together....for me Dr.Shanx blushing like a teenager isnt a pretty sight 😆 😆 I would trade the whole episode for a intense scene between Dr.Shanx and our delectable Dr.Armaan...those were my favourite ones in the show.

Right Sona...you have hit the right word here...Innovate.....take the path less travelled....thats exactly what they did in the first 5-6 months...as you said ..they have created another opeining into R here...of the adoption...and AR having a conversation channel..in the ruse of friendship lets see how it moves.
Thanks for the comments .

I am agree with you dear, that was actually the days, and story was going good, but then dont know what actually they are doing?
Doctory with lil humour was better than these all stupidity.
Anyways Shilpa told in her interview that they totally changed the track now, and made the show just the funny show, forget all doctory, but i think old days was good.
