I will add a slightly horrific element to Shazias post... loved what she wrote...
The only good thing so far is Vikrant hasn't raised his hand on Mannat... he knows he shouldn't cross that limit with a woman... but he has on men, including Puneet...
Secondly even a usually calm guy like Ronnie who Vik adores... will slap his wife in tomm episode to prove a point to Vikrant... who's to say Vik wont do that in future???? He does have an aggressive streak...
Ronnie ne bhi immediately apologize kiya... as much as Neetu deserved the slap... the method was wrong.
I’m glad you’ve also raised a darker side to this.
i know this is a tv show and Adnan is such a superb actor, displays the direction given by his director very closely….. I don’t doubt Vikrant would raise his hand at a woman, let alone Mannat but given Vikrant’s aggressive streak, his physical build and his deep powerful voice, I have felt a little uneasy in his intimidating Mannat on one or two occasions, shouting and pinning against the wall etc.
Mannat is also a firebrand, we’ve drooled at her collar grabs but her aggression has been used in desperation to make him listen to her, and she also doesn’t stop in continuing the argument many times.
But in the real world a couple like this could get dangerously close to crossing the line in physical abuse, and in most cases the man has a strength advantage
Moor is absolutely right, the slap was wrong to use.
