And yeah Pihu has randomly married some doctor. Show does seem be winding up. Last track ki shooting kar rahe lagte hain and aise hi off air kar denge 🤷‍♀️😂

You know there is One unfair gift Leena Gangopadhyay is blessed with— the woman knows how to pull viewers in. She’s a genius when it comes to crafting the kind of love stories where two flawed, broken souls orbit around each other like fate itself is dragging them closer.

I recently skimmed through Ishani, like last week just out of curiosity,as I had not seen anything from that show before....And oh. my. god.

Within minutes, I recognised the classic Leena pattern — one she had repeated across Jhanak and earlier with RuNak And you know what? It still works.Yes the difference is today we are no longer naive to invest in it emotionally and we are not going to be trapped in it... and we can see through her deception and cheating....

Leena understands something basic yet profound — love doesn’t always need hugs, kisses, or clichéd trip-and-fall moments. She builds romance with Longing stares filled with ache,Silent pauses that scream louder than dialogues,Incoherent conversations that carry the weight of lifetimes. Two incomplete people unconsciously healing together amidst chaos — like lotus blooming in swamp. She portrays absence as intimacy, distance as connection. No over-the-top gestures — just raw, restrained yearning.

This is exactly what she did with RuNak. And she did it again with Ishani and Anurag. She makes viewers root for them. She convinces viewers that they’re two pieces of a puzzle — pointless apart, poetic together.

And Then... She Pulls the Ultimate Betrayal.

Just when we think:“Ah, finally. Nothing can stop them now.”

Leena does what Leena always does.

She flips the entire tone of the show. Like someone switching from soulful Sufi music to loud DJ remix mid-song.

Exactly like in Jhanak — after that beautiful, intimate Kashmir night, just when viewers were floating in emotional bliss, bam — chaos, character derailment, emotional disconnection.

And now? She’s done it again in Ishani.

Viewers must have waited — patiently — for Saswat & Co. to face karma for torturing Ishani and Anurag so much. They must have imagined poetic justice. Dramatic confrontations. A cathartic downfall.

But nope.

Instead… instant “Hriday Parivartan.”The villains suddenly found God in their hearts. Like One group hug and all sins washed away. 🤡

And Ishani?

After being humiliated and emotionally destroyed by them — she goes back to that same house to serve them. With pride, no less.

Meanwhile, Anurag — the same man who stood by her through fire few days back when she was sooo desperate— gets attitude from her.

Why? Because apparently in Leena Universe, the female lead turning cold and irrational after becoming stable = character development.

Reminded me so much of Jhanak’s behaviour towards Anirudh.

In case of Ishaani here once she was no longer helpless, she turned needlessly cruel to the one man who never wronged her.

Leena just doesn't get that Being a Writer Comes with Responsibility.

Creating emotional build-up is not enough.

You don’t just get to Make the audience emotionally invest in a couple,Make them ache for justice and closure,Then pull a “Plot Twist Because I Can” — and expect viewers to swallow it.

A storyteller’s job isn’t just to trigger emotions — it’s to honor them.

Leena Gangopadhyay is undeniably skilled at one thing: making people fall deeply, irrevocably in love with a fictional couple. But she often refuses to respect the emotional journey she herself creates. Instead of resolution, she chooses redirection. Instead of justice, she offers redemption. Instead of growth, she delivers inconsistency.

And that — more than anything — is why her stories are intresting and addictive in the beginning and infuriating by the end....

Uffff .....the level of frustration I have with this woman never seems to die down ......I just despise her🤣

Honestly I wanted Krushal to explore darker roles too — because he has the face, the eyes, and the charm for it. Those early episodes of Anirudh proved he could pull off manipulation with elegance, sarcasm with class, and grey-shade charisma without looking caricaturish. His face-offs with Shrishti were chef’s kiss — sharp, layered, and addictive.

But dark doesn’t mean derogatory.

There’s a vast difference between playing a morally complex anti-hero and playing a downright vile character with no depth or boundaries.

When I said I wanted him in a negative role, I meant:A well-written, layered character,With psychological depth and strong motivations.Someone who does wrong things but still makes the audience feel conflicted.Someone massy and classy

Not some third-rate, brainless gunda who:Randomly ruins innocent people’s lives “in the name of love”,Has no sense of morality or Control, has no spine, motivation or personality, Indulges in child trafficking — like, seriously??Is perverted without being intelligent or layered....

And then has sudden “Hriday Parivartan” the moment he comes to know of his kid — kyun bhai, conscience on EMI basis hai? 🤡

This is not dark. This is lazy writing. And honestly, for an actor with his potential, it’s a massive downgrade.

If he really wants to go dark, I hope next time he picks a storm, not gutter water.

Ditto! Anirudh Bose made me root for Krush as an anti hero...with gravitas...having substance to add to the narrative...unlike a chhapdi sasta gunda doing useless dialogue baazi in the most cliched UP way and involving in fraud, trafficking and what not...extremely disappointed with his selection of Aviraj..

Haha Asmita you are still giving Leena wayyyyyy too much credit 😂😂

Seriously you sensed longing between Ishani and Anurag? I found them hollow since day one. Unlike Jhanak, Leena didn’t bother with any token character development or story background in Ishani and still you got so many feels for this Ishani ki lowe story? 😂…..what was there to connect with in an Ishani whose whole life flipped to Anupama 2.0 simply coz she was kidnapped by one Gunda? Come ON. Heights of laziness in this writing and you were feeling emotional investment in a bullshit past love that Leena concocted out of thin air? 😂

When did this Ishani fall for Anurag? In Jhanak she was just shown as BFF of Jhanak only focused on her studies. Out of the blue she has a past BF and we are supposed to swallow this? lol ghanta Leena is good at anything. She is SHIT through and through.

All she can do is lazy and senseless khichdi of her old shows. Ismein aapko longing dikh gayi toh that can only be cuz of lack of context and the actors. Nothing to do with the story/writing 🤷‍♀️😂

Exactly! All the pathetic writing and storytelling from that woman named Leena Gangopadhyay aside, Anirudh Bose was the perfect showreel for him as an actor — sharp, composed, morally grey yet magnetic. He had gravitas, purpose, and substance. Even when he manipulated or lied, it felt strategic, not mindless. That’s what made people root for him despite his flaws.

But this new Aviraj character?

It’s not dark, it’s just cheap. There’s a difference between a layered grey character and a cartoonish gunda with bad dialogue baazi.

Instead of intensity, we got over-the-top theatrics.Instead of cunning, we got loud fraud, trafficking, and cringe posturing.Instead of power, we got parody.

Honestly, for someone with his screen presence and expressive eyes, this role is a massive downgrade. If he really wants to play dark, he should pick a character with depth, not just random villainy for shock value.

According to me, Anti-hero hona tha — meme material ban gaya.🤣
