Err..no it wasn't. Made on 5cr, it grossed around 20 cr in india and emerged an average success

Someone actually made some great points here. I honestly don’t think anyone’s buying awards at this point. With Alia, it’s more about the lack of real competition and the shortage of good roles that used to exist a decade ago. Post COVID, that kind of cinema either tanked or moved to OTT. Filmfares just picking from what’s available, and right now there’s barely any competition. They should just merge the OTT and cinema awards already, most of the genuinely good performances are happening on OTT anyway.

Jitesh Pillai is so cunningly smart. Filmfare did not nominate Pratibha, Nitanshi in popular best actress cateogory. ( To avoid comments like why did they not win. Everyone knows Lapata Ladies was a well appreciated film on social media. )

Janki who had a full fledged role in Shaitaan was nominated in supporting actor category. Filmfare had no shame in awarding a 15 min role of Gullyboy role of Alia's in the leading actor category but Janki who was in the entirety of Shaitan gets relegated to supporting actor.

Abhishek and Kartik can win together but Alia should not be clubbed together with another actor according to Filmfare.

This year they r encouraging movies that are below par at the box office. - i think.

Maybe they should start another awards for such movies like filmfare OTT.

Good for her

Alpha is releasing in 2 months.Bringing flop Jigra(both in theatres and on OTT) to the forefront and annoying the fandoms of other hopeful stars wasn't the best idea. Rani attended every award function after Filmfare and won all of them including the National award. She went on to say that, it was a wonderful moment for her, because everyone felt that she was deserving.

I will be watching Alpha promotions closely to see if Rani was upset with the Filmfare snub.Let me assure you that other fandoms are going to root for Sharvari.

We have to wait and see,if Reelreptile mentions Sharvari,in his review at all(like,RS in RRKPK)...and which fandom Anupama and co will pick to blame,if the film fails.

That is how Alia fraudulently got award for darlings.Her co-stars were better than her in that film. Also films of DP,Yami,Madhuri,Vidya,Tamannah,Janhvi did far better than the carpet bombed to the skies, Alia in Darlings. absolutely SHAMELESS.
