Lol, every year Filmfare gives Alia an undeserved award and every year the audience voices their opinions about it but Filmfare only gets more mad and give more awards to undeserving Alia to show people who’s boss. Such a high schooler behavior

Jigra was an “exhibitionist” performance …it was staged to win awards …the film constantly had her being referred to as Bachchan etc …random aggressive shots that didn’t really serve any purpose in the story or character development (the way she eats on a plane, the way she slaps that guy at the start who’s trying to run away/escape)

It’s felt like the focus was more to get her to win an award than contribute to the narrative of the film and play a character

So I’m really not surprised..

That being said, I don’t really think much of the nominees performances either …so she won by the sheer virtue of everyone else’s mediocrity and her habit of snatching opportunities and meaty roles for herself (Vasan balas infamous “draft being sent straight to alia coz that’s how it works with kjo” interview)

Meh…regardless it barely feels like any sort of an achievement ….more self congratulatory

I am sure Yami for her hit movie article 370 was a more deserving..vidya was amazing in do aur do pyar..if abhishek can win for i wana talk why couldn't VB for do aur do pyar?

Alia's wins are becoming a joke. These wins are ruining the credibility of even those awards she actually deserved like UP, Raazi and Gangu..
