Love Legion

I saw Metro In Dino recently . I like soft movies without much violence. So i kind of liked the movie.

I liked Neena Gupta s, Konkana s stores the most. It was a different, musical type of film.

A few pointers that I had noted -

- Every couple was dysfunctional and forgive each other n the end.

- Pankaj Kapoor could have acted n a polished way. Unfortunately he looked the same as n other movies with his accent. He s not changing his image at all.

- Fatima was good.

- I didn't like Sara. Her voice and face doesn't look like a hindi film heroine. The hairstyle didn't suit her at all and her name also n the movie.

- Her mother looked better even though she was tom boyish.

- Aditya was good with his usual antics.

- Ali Faisal s character was a bit irritating.

- Neena Gupta s acting was good.

- Pritam stood at different heights and sang songs. Due to him, the actors had less dubbing to do.

I recently watched son of sardar 2, as i enjoyed watching first one but it didn't live up to the hype for me. The comedy fell flat most of the time, and the story was predictable and dull. Ajay Devgn's performance was okay, but even he couldn't save this one. The action scenes were over the top and lacked any real impact. Overall, a disappointing sequel that failed to impress.

I recently watched Saiyaara and surprised I loved that movie despite not being a fan of movies. I heard many positive and negative reviews so I decided to decide myself to see if it is any good and went to the theatre after a very long time to watch it. I expected to get bored and regret visiting and walk out but surprisingly I didn’t and I enjoyed the film a lot. Overall it was a beautiful movie and I had a wonderful theatre experience. Hopefully, such a day comes again and I enjoy another movie at the theatre, the way I enjoyed Saiyaara.

Last Saturday I watched back to back 2 movies, Om Shanti Om and Main hoon na.

Though I had watched these movies earlier too in theatres but this time there's experience was very different.

Om Shanti Om: I actually loved the rebirth theme and what better way to start the movie by showing Om Shanti Om song from the old movie Karz which was again a movie based on rebirth. Om was a 21-22 year old simple man with big dreams of being a top bollywood actor and living a rich luxurious life. He often regretted being born in a poor family of junior artists and believed his dreams aren't getting fulfilled because of his birth and parentage. There are few scenes that were brilliantly written and directed. The first being Om and his friend Pappu standing outside a top superstar's house and Om telling him he will have a house like this, he will sleep on soft bed, his floor would be of marble and there would be servants around him. Well, his wish did fulfill in the second half. Another scene- when the drunk Om was giving award speech there were paintings of Gods in front of him. Its like the Gods listened to his speech and granted his wish of getting the award in his next birth. His love for the top bollywood actress Shanti is pure and innocent. It's like all his wishes were granted by God because he tried to save Shanti's life and ended up losing his own life. This whole movie was about the law of karma.

Main hoon naa was another amazing movie and the only thing I would say is thank God this movie was made then. If this movie was made today people would have boycotted this movie for its subject. smiley36

Recently watched Taare Zameen Par. It's been such a long time that I'd expected to have forgotten most of the movie, but surprisingly I remembered even the minute details. Ishaan finally gaining confidence and growing into his self still hit just as strong smiley27

This movie was my first nudge towards words like dyslexia, and it's amazing how such a sensitive topic was handled in such a tender yet lighthearted way smiley27

I recently watched Dhadak 2 it has great performances by Siddhant and Tripti. The movie was hard hitting with caste prejudice and dehumanisation. I am still sad they killed the cute dog.

Overall 3/5

I'm really gonna show my age with this one, but I just watched Darr for the first time, and I get the hype now. It is SRK's best performance, even now, and I'm saying this as someone who's watched a lot of SRK films. The first shot alone was so disturbing, and to have a song as seemingly innocent as Jaadu Teri Nazar as the main song of the film was a fantastic choice. (I've grown up listening to that song, but I never realized it was from Darr, and I don't think I can look at that song the same way for a while.)

4.5/5 Stars!
