Why would they want rishta to go off air?

That's normal and logical, why would channel have issues with producer of their #1 show?

I am skeptical on TRP system revamp, there are many powerful lobbies against it, it will go in back burner

If they implement reforms then we can see the results after data of at least 4-5 weeks
