Saikia condemns PCB's actions

India Cricket Board secretary Devajit Saikia condemned the PCB’s actions: “We decided not to accept the Asia Cup 2025 trophy from the ACC chairman, who represents a country currently at odds with ours. That was our stance. But this does not give him the right to take the trophy and medals. It is extremely unfortunate and unsportsmanlike. We hope the trophy and medals are returned to India as soon as possible. We will launch a serious protest at the ICC conference in Dubai this November.”

What Salman Agha said in press conference

Salman Agha also appeared for the post match press conference and claimed Suryakumar Yadav shook hands with him in private but never when the cameras were on, such as the captain's press conference.

"He shook hands with me in private at the start of the tournament," Agha told reporters after the final, which India won by 5 wickets. "Both at the pre-tournament press conference and when we met in the referee's meeting. But when they're out in front of the cameras, they don't shake our hands. I'm sure he's following the instructions he's been given, but if it was up to him, he'd shake hands with me," he added.
