Sony BMG Music has given the two winners of Fame Gurukul - Qazi Touqueer and Ruprekha Banerjee the opportunity to cut their first music album. The two winners have recorded 'Qazi, Ruprekha - Jodi No. 1' that features 10 new tracks. It is set to hit the stores soon. The music video features the lead song 'Yeh Pal...', directed by Benoy Mitra. The track encompasses mixed emotions - the happiness of making it to the jodi and the sorrow since the journey has come to an end. Produced and composed by the music duo Prempal Hans and Hardip Sidhu, this album includes duets by Qazi and Ruprekha and solos by each one of them as well. The lyrics have been penned by Sameer. Sony is all set to bring the frenzy, the excitement and the journey to find India's next Indian Idol starting November 21. The launch kicks off with four episodes that showcase the aspirations, enthusiasm and dreams of all those who came forward to audition. The show will be aired every Monday and Tuesday at 8.30 pm.
Kam Ya Zyada off-air interactivity launched
Zee TV has tied up with Hutch as its telecom partner for the upcoming Manoj Bajpai hosted gameshow Kam Ya Zyaada. The show revolves around a format where Hutch subscribers can type KYZ and send SMS to 123 or through Hutch IVRS. The participants are then sent a set of questions that are intriguing and involving. Every response to the question is in the form of Kam Ya Zyaada (less or more). Each response yields the participant loyalty points that can be redeemed for gratification and can also lead to participation on the grand studio show giving the participant an opportunity to win Rs 3 crores, according to the press release.
