Also, those who have completed your Buddy Read challenge, could one of you in your team please post your thread link and tag me so I can verify it? Make sure you have updated the first post with the titles and page numbers of the books you've read!

Reminder: You need to have completed reading 2 (or 3 if your team had 3 people) books (one suggested by each member of the team) for you to qualify for the badge.

Also - another note: If a team member logs 0 pages, their name will not feature in the winning siggy.

Here's the Buddy Read Challenge Thread for myself and Ritz (wallflowergirl)!

Sorry, I just realized that my Buddy has already posted the linksmiley36

Hey Lizzie, I just wanted to know if the book talk reading challenge badge is suppose to be an empty square. Because mine doesn’t have any design.

None of us do, it’s been reported to the tech team. Hopefully it’s resolved soon

Moving on to the results of the Reading challenge.

Before I announce the MVP and the winning team, a shoutout for all 3 team captains - heavenlybliss, oh_nakhrewaali and missFiesty_69 for their patience and due diligence in guiding their respective teams, posting reminders and generally just being awesome!

Thank you, ladies, especially for your understanding when people sign up and don't log any pages in the month or when you have to chase down members to post their logs/ reserve their posts. I do try my best to assign all teams with active participants (now that I kind of know everyone's reading pace), but it does happen that an absentee gets assigned to your team and as a result your team's total suffers. I know we're all competitive and like to win, and so props to you all for understanding that life happens and sometimes you get lemons (instead of a winning siggy). smiley9

Alright, so here are the team totals!

Team Bibliophile Yaars posted a grand total of 31806 pages!! Congratulations and very well done!

Team Lexophile Dosts ended with a decent 34470 pages! Yayy, go team (my team!)

And the winning team (and it's no wonder because they had some Reading monsters on this team!) is Team Pageturner Bhidus with a whopping 48372 pages!

Woot! Woot! smiley40Go, you guys!

Here's your winning siggy. (courtesy of Shibani, many many thanks to her!)

(Please note that anyone who posted 0 pages as their total page count was left out of the siggy)

Image

And now for the people who I'm convinced never sleep or have some kind of superpower because these totals? Unbelievable!

These 2 gals are doing it time and again (tell us what magic spells you're using smiley42) so full props to them for managing life and still not letting reading fall by the wayside!

Give it up for Parm (WildestDreams) and Vera (missFiesty_69)!

Here's (yet another) your MVP siggy! (thoda baaki logon ko bhi chance do MVP banne ka smiley19)

Again thank you Shibz for the siggy!

Image

That's it for now!

Good luck for September and here's to me (the reading Dr. Frankenstein) creating more Reading Monsters this month! smiley17

@red: this knowing the human form of Rajdhani express aka Miss Shibani exists smiley37

I mean I have literally seen people log 15k odd pages smiley36 so yes, I'm afraid you have created reading monsters, Lizzie.

Thank you for the gorgeous badge Lizzie & Shibz! I'm a little sad that my team didn't win although I'm surprised and happy that we logged 31K pages, coz that's humongous!!, well done mere yaars smiley40

Par hum jaiso ka kya majal when a team has two reading titans contributing to the same team smiley36

@violet : iss mahine shayad nahi hoga.. what with Shreya's ghol ghol ghumana game and work being tight, time crunch is a real thingsmiley13
