Must be a new desperate producer trying to make a name, because there's no way any seasoned producer is ever putting a dime in a Saif Ali Khan led film and paying Akshay & Priyadarshan big money on top to add credibility to the project.
Saif is everything Abhishek gets accused of but on an even bigger scale. Last solo success must've been before Aneet was even born. 🤣 Not sure how he manages to fly under the radar so much.

On this I agree with you and you have shared some much needed truths. Saif is a flop star and people forget that he was considered a eunuch or fag in 90s. He had YRF/Dharma giving him few hits in 2000s which made him think he is big star when he coasted on his more popular female co-stars or Khans. I think last hit film he had was with Deepika???? He is irrelevant since and even Deepika wouldn't act with him anymore so he is lost. Failure of an actor and failure of a human being. He is Buckingham Palace's janitor.

For some people (here & elsewhere) it obviously is all about money when looking at a person's work.
In no way I would agree in the very negative takes from Haila_tu and lirawod on Saif as an actor. I really dislike the focus on the financial outcome ('at least a hit') neglecting completely the (sometimes) praised performances given also in (financially) unsuccessful movies.
There is nothing to hold against the pairing Akshay-Saif beforehand as the two of their pairings I've watched were quite enjoyable (and even successful). So, I prefer to 'wait and see'. As for Saif, to me, he has largely proved his mettle also as a solo leading actor
