Hello Everyone!!

I have an important update.

Unfortunately, the drive is not salvageable. I received the news on Saturday but I needed a little time to wrap my head around the thing. He has tried multiple things, each better than the last but the recovery is just not happening which is why it was taking so long too. He has said that at the most they can now try to get around 10% of it back but the cost is anyway a bomb so he is suggesting I should not do it.

I am going to do it anyway because there 900 GB of data in there and 10 percent means around 80-90 GB which is better than nothing I guess. There are things in there which are too dear to me and if there's any chance of getting them I am going to take it.

Anyway, coming to what will happen here. After the denial and depression wore off, my thought was that I don't want my last story to be incomplete and this is not a record I want to break.

My first option was that I just spill the beans and tell you guys the whole plot in a para or two for some kind of closure.

When I thought about the stuff a little more, I am leaning towards rewriting it. I have a beginning, I can just take all the parts already posted from here so it will not be from scratch. Secondly, I already have the plot and storyline and I know what is going to happen so there's no brainstorming that I have to do. Of course I don't remember every detail so it wont be exactly the same (and hopefully that doesn't affect the quality of the story in a negative way). I will definitely need more time to do this... like at least 1.5-2 months to get a good number of pages in so I know I am not missing stuff and am able to write it well.

I also feel a little bad to ask you guys to wait again. So you guys can let me know your thoughts and we can go for any of the options.

First off. Darn it. I had high hopes from that IT guy. The amount of time he'd spent was a dedication no one usually shows. I can't help but think what if characters could be alive for a while then you could've brought Shree or a hacker to get things done. And yes if that data is very important, you should deffo get that 8% back.

And Hey that's okay. I mean we knew that could happen. We didn't want it to happen but at least we knew that could be a scenario.

Not that I don't wanna scream bloody murder. But c'mon you wrote them once, you can write it twice. And maybe this version is better than the one before. And you're right, even I don't want your last story to be incomplete. And you have two "Raaz" and the accursed CID crossover.

So don't worry. You start writing and I'll keep on supporting you.

I know this is tough time for you. Now being a writer itself I understand how tough it is to write when you have so in your mind. But don't worry we are with you. And we will wait for you to rewrite for us. Thank you. Through stories can be created any unexpectanal time but it's bad that you have lost important data which may include lots of photos or to say memories. May atleast you get them back hopefully.

I hope so too. That is exactly why I want to take that chance. The drive had all my photographs, videos what not from school, college, vacations, everything. I hope If I recover one folder, its that one.

So I am going to rewrite it.

I also just realized that the epilogue for raaz is pending so I will be writing that first and complete the story. Shouldn't take more than two weeks. Once I am done with that I will start working on the CID one.
