BALH's yellow-tint and the flat base makeup (it's not cakey but it screams that there are layers of foundation) make her look worse than she is. The styling is good in that show but the lighting and makeup are big turn offs.

I'm sure KKB team would have done something different for her than what they are doing for Pranali, but I find it very hard to picture her in a style that will have Prarthana charm, beauty, and her calm. Prarthana's styling is beautiful, and it suits the occasion, the moods. The clothes are a part of her (as they should), and I don't see Shivangi fitting into that.

Also, not to be rude, but there was a Balika Vadu sequel with her? I remember the one with Mahi, but Shivangi had one too?

Yes, Mahi was like the grown-up version of 2nd Gen lead.

There was a sequel of like 150ish episodes with Randeep Rai as the ML.

Oh yeah, definitely, her features somehow seem very plastic to me, which kinda of amplifies the bad effects when she gives OTT reactions in the name of "Acting".

I saw the recent promo of BALH4, and HC looked so Dapper, I mean, he is a damn good actor. He has chemistry with almost all his co-stars and gave hit shows back-to-back for almost a decade. On the other hand, we have Shivangi, who is still riding on the coattails of her work as Naira from YRKKH, like from 5-7 years ago. None of her other shows have been hits, not the Balika Vadhu sequel (which no one remembers, I am sure), or the other one with Kushal, where it became apparent even leads having chemistry cannot save a bad show if the plot and acting on other fronts are not great (Both are very mediocre actors IMO).

I think, Naira was a character who was spunky and her OTT acting probably helped with the spunk factor. Maybe she got the cue her OTT expressions was actually being appreciated by the fans and stuck to that as her default.

Even in her prev Ekta show, it was intolerable for me to watch her act.

Me watching Shivangi acting everytime:

Such an emotionally heavy episode! If yesterday’s episode made my eyes teary today’s made those tears fall.

Starting with Shivansh’s love, respect, longing and desperation for Prarthana, and we all knew he would say ‘Tere liye apna jaan bhi dedunga” but hearing him actually say brought out a sob from me.

The beautiful PraShiv scene, them being so in love with each other, didn’t need any dialogues to validate what they feel and their frantic expressions on cruelly being separated by BM , oh god, so good.

Prarthana’s dream and her panic, take a bow Pranali, she did a really good job, showed how Shivansh is her oxygen and her MOM finally telling her that she is loved - this scene yaar! This is what Prarthana always wanted to hear. Somebody finally told her that they LOVE her and the way that mended her wounded soul, man I cried the hardest here.

Though the writing is everywhere, the emotions that got conveyed in this episode are pure bliss.

It would have been better if Prarthana called him and told him She cannot live without him and if he said aajao . She can be like please come take me.

That would have checkmate to BM and Snake.

because he told her she can tell him she does not want divorce and does not want to go and he will not tell anyone.

Why cannot they show PraShiv planned it together and Shivansh went along with her because he trusts her and they pretend.

Seema won us over yesterday and happy to learn she loves Prarthana too.

I feel like it's her Ego doing the work. She got success in ITV in the 2000s, her PH is like a premier for actors to associate with. She also had good OTT hits like Karle tu bhi Mohabbat, Romit Juggal, and that one with Gurdeep Rohit and Mona.

She probably hated that the channel was not letting her have her way, unlike before, because Zee has been failing miserably to hold audience attention compared to Colors and SP. None of the shows in line up seem interesting, their highest rated show is Vasudha, which has a stupid storyline and the most confused and dolt ML ever and the most senseless FL ever- I couldn't for the life of me tolerate her "Devi Hukum mera bhagwan hai" puran and her pati jaap towards ML when the former has repeatedly insinuated someone of FL's caliber can never become her DIL and the latter has no clue about the sh**FL thinks.

She started this pattern with KDB, where she shut shop after Shradda quit ( Never liked her or the lead couple there), instead of establishing the 2nd gen (FL of that gene quitting before being replaced, like Sona now also didn't help. Then she switched to BL, where she could have properly built up for Gen Leap, but gave the sideys and vamp more focus and gave reconciliation to leads in like literally last 5 mins (explains why she did all she did for the leads in the show afterwards, gossip is she wanted Rohit and Aman, the ML and PL to be a part of KSKBT). Their story was very similar in terms of foundation, like Prashiv, love after marriage, which is such a nice way to celebrate the beauty of Indian culture, but Mata messed it up so badly. Same with Parineeti in Rangu.

Now she is doing the same for KKB. Which is infuriating to say the least.

I thought I was the only one. Once I saw Ekta was putting Preeta with Karan instead of Rishab I quit KDB. Rishab is one of the finest character written in Ekta shows. I didn’t watch again until Shakti entered as Karan and he was fantastic
