actually geetu has exaggerated her involvement in mairas life ..she never lived with maira ..she used to take care of her a few hours a day while the father worked.. also she lived in the house next door and not with armaan and maira..yes recently when armaan came to udaipur she looked after maira for a few days. I think the law would consider a person if she was a foster parent.like being the sole carer for the child because the parent was not around. For a child who was just 3 when this began that’s literally most of her life & at that age bonds form through consistency. You can call it babysitting if you want but Maira doesn’t see it that way She sees someone who showed up every day cared for her & became part of her safe space. Courts don’t ignore a child’s emotional security and even the law prioritises stability over sudden disruption. And let’s not forget, Geetu literally saved Maira’s life during that car accident you don’t erase that kind of trust. In Future Maira might choose Abhira because she’s the lead, but in reality the bond Geetu created & protected isn’t something that disappears just because the script says so.
