I've been wondering about that too. It's a great way to whitewash ARS. It often happens in ITV, especially when the villain happens to be the mom.

This is exactly what Vikrant has become..you can feel it ..his eyes which used to shine once upon a time has nothing but helplessness as if they are screaming for help..

Deepa, you're very good at explaining the inner turmoil of Vik 🤗..Absolutely you're right ..He is suffocated in jhoote rista, and his goodness and principles aren't allowing him to discard it ..

He hasn't even gone through 1 year of manipulation yet, he looks like he is dying inside. Like how Gagans father keeps siding with Aishwarya, Vikrants mother is siding with Malla. Only difference is mannat. Gagan didn't have someone going to lengths that Mannat did to bring the truth out. So after some time, he started drowning his sorrows with alcohol.

If there is no mannat bringing out the truth, it's a matter of time before Aishwarya takes over the business, making Vikrant spiral into depression. No love, no support from mom, and a broken dream (bussiness). I can see it happening to him if mannat wasn't around.

I understand your point but the thing is ..he won’t be suffering for 25 years ..it’s his story ..his kindness and good nature and his love for miss mannat will win ..he has always tried to help miss mannat and hence it’s his karma and obviously miss mannat’s love that will save him ..

Of course he has no one to stand by him as his whole family is selfish but that’s what ..he will see that his own family is not worth it ..

At least gagan’s mom was always by his side ..

I am liking recent episodes, there is a flow to them -- though things are moving at a snail speed despite 40+ minutes episodes. But I want a change in Vikrant's character; he should not just be reacting to what is being presented to him, but lead and be proactive about something. His and Malla's bedroom scene where he holds her hands and talks about possibility of moving ahead (yes, I am still stuck on that despite understanding why he did that) -- it is the only time he took an initiative (whatever be the reason). His focus should have been on getting Mannat out of jail; show some desperation; doing something about it. (Scenes are needed to establish that, not two-line dialog).

I hope from tomorrow's episode he starts being the doer and not just the reactor.
