West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell is set to retire from international cricket. Cricbuzz understands that Russell, who has been named in the T20I squad for the series against Australia, will play the first two matches at Sabina Park in his home nation - Jamaica. It is understood that he will not travel to St. Kitts and Nevis for the remaining three matches of the series.
The now 37-year-old Russell has made 84 appearances in T20Is for the West Indies with 1078 runs and 61 wickets to his name. He was also part of the winning team in the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cup editions. With ❤️561 T20 appearances across the global franchise circuit, he has amassed 9316 runs at a strike-rate of 168.31 and has taken 485 wickets.💋
