decent movie though i felt couldve been better...certain concepts had potential like the ending confrontation scene where shree's SIL leaves his brother wherein i felt she could've voiced it out better ...women empowerment theme kinda was repetitive for some reason here even though the acting and cinematography was nice

Watched it last weekend. Was a shocking surprise, tbh! Didn't expect much and wasn't even planning to watch. Just saw it casually and was shocked coz the trailers didn't do it justice. Well-made, well-acted, good music. Each character had their own style, making it a refreshing watch.

Madhavan reminded me of his Tanu weds Manu character, Fatima reminded me of her Metro's character. In the end, a message delivered in much subtle way.

5/5.

I watched this movie by chance cause my mom was bored after she was done watching all the CID2 episodes.

I didn’t expect it to be good. Madhavan and Fatima Sana’s chemistry surprisingly worked well in this movie. Fatima Sana played the role of a modern Bong girl decently and Madhavan has always been good. Sree and Madhu were both right and wrong.

The only issue in this movie for me was that they were justifying the cheating of Sree’s sister-in-law to condemn the behaviour of Sree’s brother. I couldn’t tolerate the brother and it’s good his wife left him, but there wasn't any need to show the cheating part, could have shown she left him earlier or something.

Ok i will be the anomaly, i couldnt stand the movie. Found it too boring and annoying, i think Fatima character annoyed me the most, why she kept going back to Sree is what i couldn't understand.

Even i found this part problematic. I agree Sree's brother was an a**hole but how does that justify his wife cheating on him. I found one more scene that was weird. Whenever the elder brother would ask his daughter to learn cooking everybody would look at him as if he said the most regressive thing ever. Cooking is a basic life skill which everyone should learn irrespective of gender. He was surely the worst husband but I don't think he was the worst father just for asking her to cook.

Not really. smiley36 There are many many houses in Kolkata which look like this, some in posh areas like Ballygunj or Jadavpur area even. smiley42 Those entire area have this type of artistic touch to the films like Piku, Kahaani, Namesake or this one. smiley42
