Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki: Episode Discussion Thread - 18 - Page 104

Two things that I liked about today's episode:

One, the relationship that Gagan and Mannat share, that little moment where Gagan tells Mannat that he is with her and Mannat breaking down made me a little teary eyed. (I hope they don't mess with this bond that they share and that Gagan continues to be someone Mannat can rely on).

The second part was the letter - no bs, no extended poetics, it was simple, short and to the point and it definitely seemed like Vikrant went into a bit of a shock, but clearly not enough for his brain to start working again.

The rest was an absolute mess....that's all I can say.

On a different note, haven't really watched the BTS but have seem some summaries here and there... I'm curious - does Gagan also find out that ARS is Sonia Khanna and Mannat's mother????

Malla kidnapping hint article came last week. The bts with Vikrant and Malla at Mannat room came the week before.

Vikrant's reaction in the bts was much better, they could have reshot it with him wanting to come clean about the fake marriage, but then decided finding Mannat is more urgent without Malla's intervention. Now Vikrant didnt do neither.

I was confused whether to be happy that at least one malla vikrant scene was cut because he kept Malla out of his convo with Mannat finally and told her to keep out.

But when he touched her and said, thank you, i was like..." What??"

Secondly in most Indian rituals it is the elder person who gets the first right... so by that logic too Neetu should have done it.

I noticed it specifically because I knew some people were upset that ye wale rasm main koi bad omen nahi hua... People were not okay seeing Malla wearing the chooda which should ideally belong to Mannat.

Shiro explained the chooda rasm is usually done by bride's family, mostly her mother's side, like mama-mami. So Raveena might be doing it by changing to bride side family for a while. Dont know if groom family or saas can do it too.

No bad omen is not a good sign. But the chooda is worn until after marriage right? Maybe it will happen later.

Its a scared ARS and stern Mannat... kind of fits with how Mannat has been for the past few days... she doesnt need BKBs protection now!!!!

Mannat Aish tussle in corridor... both are firm on how much they can do for their respective mom/daughter. Aish tells her to stay away from Mallas happy married life. Mannat replies jo Mera hai nahi uspe main haq nahi jatati.. Aish replies true... Vikku is not for you (i couldn't help but laugh at this after recalling yesterday's BTS 🤣.. how times change... )

Mannat talks to herself that pyar main not be in her kitty but exposing ARS is what she will do.

Chooda rasm happens... with a soft traditional music. Everyone is happy. Vikku boy only has eyes for Ms. Mannat who is standing next to him looking extremely pretty 😍.

Punnu emotional ... 😢 Abeer ka expression dekh ke dil tuta aashiq feel aaya 😐

Anyway... the oddest thing is Keerat asks Raveena to do the rasm.. not Neetu. Didnt get it why unless it was another trick from makers to show who are meant to be. Even as elder member Neetu had the first right.

Or is it a sign of PuMal wedding in future 🤣🤣🤣.. Punnu pe focus to hai and he is always around Malla. 😉... did we all miss this???? 😂

Khair... Neetu eats the Mango dessert... starts choking. Blames Mannat... taunts Vik... he asks her to go... but she keeps stressing that Neetu told her strawberry allergy. Vik bursts out his 'leave' (my Bobby track mind recalled the earlier one... same effect... )

Mannat is upset... decides not to justify herself. Gagan bechara is upset too... follows Mannat to her room...

Mannats call with Doc and GaMan interaction is so so beautiful and emotional 😢.. literal tears 😭😭😭

Gagan truly thinks of Mannat as his daughter. Theres this apprehension since Bobby track .. but Gagan knows his boundaries and respects them even if he sees Mannat as his daughter.

The best part of this track is GaMan ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Same as BTS Mannat decides to take action against ARS.

Vik realizes his folly... knows mannat wont intentionally hurt Neetu or even make such a blunder. Realizes he has messing it up regularly. Doing mistakes and upsetting Mannat.

Malla comes to check on him. He tells her he wants to talk to Mannat alone. Malla decides to herself she wont let him... but Shalini tells her Aish wants to meet her. Its a trick from Gagan.

Vik reads the letter and breaks down. He is shocked and unsure what to do... calls but Mannat doesnt pick up. Bumps into Lakshay who tells him he hasn't seen Mannat since the function.

They edited out Mallas manipulation of Vikrant in Mannats room.. After he reads the letter. (Maybe feedback le liya ki Vik bahot gullible dikh raha hai.)

Mata ki chowki has started and Malla is missing. Raveena taunts that all these rituals dont matter for Malla. And there have been lot of bad omens. Maybe Neetu chose a wrong bahu. ARS is livid and taunts Raveena ki meri beti se acchhi bahu salujas ko nahi milegi. 😂😂😂

Goes to look for Malla. Lakshay gives her a letter which asks her to come to Mezbani... they have kidnapped Malla. ARS panics.

Precap is Mannat using an injection (most probably a sedative) on ARS and the seashore convo

Watch karoon ki nahin? Aaj kal my wit has gone on hibernation after seeing so many cobras in the show.

Just catching up with the episodes. Honestly, nothing about the show is giving me a good feeling. I'll park that feeling for now.

Today's episode:

- What exactly was Vikrant expecting Mannat to do during the chooda ceremony? He kept looking at her face expectantly. Even when his mom asked her to bring the sweets, he didn't flinch. of course, he reacted very strongly when the allergy thing happened. I don't want to hear ..it's his mom, how can he support Mannat. He is trying to 'woo' her apparently. By getting engaged to her best friend, going through the ceremonies, letting, every tom, dick and harry humiliate her, and then yelling at her in front of everyone.

- I was happy they cut the outhouse scene with Malla, but there, he spoke quite strongly to her. I was happy with him trying to keep her out of his conversation with Mannat finally. But, what's with the oh-so- polite manner with Malla every time. Once again, no excuses that she is Mannat's best friend. yes, who is not bothered that her best friend is getting insulted at every point!! he knows what he is doing is wrong, but why is he doing it then? Biggest question!! We can't be making excuses for his good behaviour with everyone except Mannat. She is not such a torturous FL!!

- Mannat felt really bad at Vikrant's yelling, and for once, showed her emotion by breaking down. I hope people who said she is not affected by anythign Vikkus says or does, were happy that she cried, and showed her vulnerability.

- Mannat's predicament, leads to ARS reveal. But I feel it is too soon. And the only big track left is aman's reveal. i don't think this Ph and its team of writers is capable of creating side tracks, at least they are not interested in this show.

- This Malla- Vikrant is a flop, force fitted track because when the ML makes it so clear he is not interested in the PL, he is still going on and on with the functions, and almost enjoying watching the FL, squirm. At least, it is coming across like that.

Obviously, someone who does not know the characters is writing the show now.

Last sentence bold: totally agree with you the most.

Vikrant doing all the rasams expecting her to confess, shows how LITTLE he truly understands her. She isnt some rich tart who chases the deepest pocket. He hasnt understood her morals and principles. He is just in love physically it would seem. Otherwise he wouldnt remain quiet while the world sullies her character completely. May be he needs a night with Malla to soothe his hormones 🤬🤬🤬. Sleeping with a cobra will be oh so curing to the soul.

P.S. clearly the BTS is getting on my nerves

Chooda is done by mothers family ( mama) maybe Shruti should have done it

It is not done by fathers family or the in law .

Keerat told Raveena to do it as she was the only outsider in the whole mandli .

Mannat could have been told to do it . If Sonia had any sense .. as Mannat is her daughter and adopted daughter of Shruti ..

I guess the bride wears it and keeps it covered till the marriage ritual starts.. after shadi they wear it for minimum 40 days

Most Punjabi brides like to flaunt it during their honeymoon..,I have seen it Simla , mussorie trips but am not sure about the whole process
