Honestly, this FL is even worse than Anupamaa, who was not very educated or aware much about the worldly affairs so it made sense why she was a doormat to Shahs. She would've thought that it's the norm for a daughter in law to be treated like an unpaid maid. Plus she was married to her Bacchon ka Pita for 26 years so it can be hard to break free from him and his family who she would've been attached with.
Abhira on the other hand is a young, outspoken, educated lawyer who has been pampered since childhood. She does not have much trauma apart from being fatherless and having no family. Therefore, it is hard to understand how such a girl can be a doormat when it is her job to advocate for people. The irony is that she was literally advocating for her SIL who was stuck in a terrible marriage yet she cannot stand up for herself when she herself is being abused. This character is supposed to be relatable to Gen Z audience but she is not, as any Gen Z person would slap divorce papers on the face of their abusive partner and dump him. They would not tolerate any form of abuse whatsoever and would move on in life. That is what this FL should have done. Once she became a successful lawyer she should have left Armaan and moved on in life and focused on her career. Then she could've settled with someone who truly loves her. By adjusting in that toxic marriage she has destroyed her own life has been reduced to a doormat unpaid maid who is now taking care of the family members of her toxic ex husband. The man abused her, character assassinated her, mocked her infertility and then dumped her. Yet still she had hope that he will one day return to her with her daughter. I don't understand how someone can be this foolish. Any other person would've realised how toxic this marriage is and moved on in life. Not wait for that same abuser to return to their life. I have no hope for this FL Whatsoever. Worst FL I have ever seen. She is worse than any kind of doormat in this universe. It will be the end of her character if she goes back to Armaan after all this.
