But 15 crore is actually a very high amount, to think of it Paresh Rawal is at the end a character artist, while heroes like Saif Ali Khan took 20 crore for Devara.

If its real and its money, Paresh Rawal overestimates himself to say the least

I think while paresh might be a character artist in other films, in this one he is definitely the hero.. so him asking for more for hp3 doesn't seem wrong to me...

he is definitely a lead in HP franchise but I don't think we can call him a "hero"

It's just because he has a great comic timing making HP near synonym to Baburao but if you think the movie actually presents him as a helper to Raju and Shyam, not an individual character will his own story.

In HP1, both Shyam and Raju had their reasons on why they needed money with a back story but for Baburao it was some loan to unknown people and even at the end Raju returns money to Om Puri and gets his mother, but nothing about the people whom Babu Rao had to return. It was more like they got his character some reason to get into the heist without any backstory.

Also I didn't mean to say he is over charging I was like if he is being paid like heroes, him still asking for more and leaving the franchise which got him here was not correct. Before Hera Pheri, he played generally villian/second villian

I think they had planned to make it grand something in teaser, else why would he post on X out of nowhere

But the matter blew out of proportion so now they are behaving like this was a real issue but sorted now

This is most likely. It seemed very odd when Akshay Kumar sued Rawal just like that. I mean there were so many other avenues first. But to go straight to taking him to court...that seemed crazy.
