Prabhas is only good when his character is larger than life.

HR is different. you can see him in super 30, and also in War.

Was this really necessary? Like what was the point of making this comparison and putting one actor down to elevate the other? Why is someone of Rajamouli’a caliber playing these juvenile games publicly?

If we sit to take pieces out f context and spread hate, I bet we can find 100 things in each video. It was said during Billa( telugu movie starring Prabhas) promotional function in 2009. Nobody cared at that time but as Prabhas and SSR have become pan India megastars, their haters also became pan India. 😆

As they say, comparison and imitation are the best form of flattery.

saying Prabhas is nothing in front of HR is far fetched and arrogant. both have their own attributes. Don't know in what context it was said by Rajamouli.

Bollywood fans and private citizens comparing Tom Cruise or anyone else to their favorites is not the same as an established director of one industry in India putting down an actor of another industry in India. And just because it was said in 2009 doesn’t negate the fact that it was unnecessary and he shouldn’t have said it.

But he didn’t say it in the putting down manner. He said it in Telugu, how are you to understand the tone the nuance and the expression which cannot be translated? He wasn’t making a statement even. It was said in a Telugu function meant for the consumption of the Telugu audiences. It’s important to know that it was said in 2009 because all these people were newcomers at that time, including Rajamouli, and were looking up to Bollywood as some benchmark.

About the Tom Cruise comment, I have heard many celebrities claiming proudly too . It’s just in human nature to compare yourselves with something that’s considered as benchmark.
