The thing is people change their opinion very fast and one hypocrisy I see in a lot of fans that when something is on air, they will bash it to no end and when another thing will come, suddenly they'll start praising the older one as if it was the best thing bestowed on the mankind.
I have interacted with some of the members here and they seemed like understand Savi's complexity and appreciated the character.
But now ever since this rebooted or whatever crap version has started, they are disregarding even the good things happening in the earlier season and making faults of Savi as of she was the worst FL possible.
I have nothing against the actors. I genuinely wish the best for them whether it is Vaibhabhi, Bhavika or Param.
But let's be honest, nothing set Teju apart as some of the S4 fans claim to degrade Savi. She did nothing significant. And nor was Neil any better character.
If Hitesh was available, the makers would waste no time in scraping this season.
Unfortunately Bhavika was available and they have merged both the storylines in the worst way possible.
As much as I hate the makers, I despise the fans' hypocrisy even more.
I'm so sorry to jump in the midst of a conversation but this is so glaring that I have to point out.
I don't think anyone, be it the previous viewers or the new viewers, are bashing Savi's character from the previous seasons. We have not even watched those seasons so why on earth would we comment on that? We are bashing Savi who was injected into this season forcefully. You too agree that her character is butchered to the core. So I don't know what kind of hypocrisy you're talking about when it's clearly you who is giving backhanded comments for the Season 4 fans and the characters, saying they weren't as good as people are making out to be. You didn't like them, fine. But you don't really have the right to point our liking as "out of the blue" or "unnecessary".
We got to know about Savi and started making fun of her only after this makeover in the story took place. You seem to have polished opinions but they're nothing but indirect attacks on us who liked Tejaswini's story. Also, the point you're making about our changed opinions about Tejaswini and Neil is just baseless. Yes, we had criticized the actions of Neil and Tejaswini when the story was on air. That was the storyline and we absolutely criticised it because we had some brain-cells. However, we also witnessed the gradual change in their personalities and therefore, we were hoping that this change would lead to a redemption arc for the characters which obviously couldn't happen because of the makers. They weren't given as much time as they should've been given, unlike the previous whatever seasons you seem to be defending with all your might.
That's our only complaint: lack of interest and less time given by the channel and the makers since they had potential. I won't care about what you say for this statement since you seem to have a biased outlook towards this whole matter, even if you deny doing so.
So this entire point about us being "hypocritical", was just us being sane viewers going along with the ups and downs of the storyline and getting disappointed when it was abruptly cut short. I cannot have the same opinion about a story or a character throughout the course of the show blindly (I don't have blind allegiance to a character), unlike your constantly fanatic opinions over your previous Savi. I don't incessantly defend Neil or Tejaswini like they never did wrong just because I like them. That's not hypocrisy, that's having an errorless judgement of character. Unlike your unwavering opinions about the previous Savi.
I criticised and appreciated Neil and Tejaswini when they made mistakes and when they stood for the right respectively. That's not hypocrisy, that's viewing the show through different and evolving situations and perspectives.
However, you seem to be equating any shift/divergence of opinion from your own towards the said character/seasons as an act of double-standards.
We are not even bashing the viewers who liked Savi from previous seasons. We're bashing those who're defending her actions and her character in this stupid plot twist. However, you seem to be incessantly disliking and diminishing all other characters apart from your old Savi as if she was a legendary character. You seem to be constantly throwing shade on Tejaswini's story and season 4 viewers, and for your kind information we're not doing the same to the previous season fans the other way round.
You're just pointing out the fallacies in this season as if your favourite character's seasons were class apart. Come on, no one's buying that on ITV, some copied story and character that too from the Ganja makers is exceptionally wonderful, different, empowered and refreshing. It's hilarious to see that it's actually you who's trying to imply that Savi's character was "the best to be bestowed upon mankind".
No one said that about Tejaswini actually. You just had a strawman argument.
I'm sorry to point this out, but in this entire nonsensical spectacle, you're the one coming across as a hypocrite and a hater.
