When the world knows about ur relationship and talks about it till date..how is it a secret? It was talk of the town then

To be fair, SRK advised Aish (more than once) to leave Salman and especially at that fatal day when Salman created havoc on the Chalte set, he said she should stay, he would support her. Salman couldn't get calmed, not even by SRK as he seemed convinced, that Aish and SRK had an affair (which they hadn't). Aish then said she would leave with Salman to calm him down...I think that was a wrong decision...

SRK wanted to go to see Aish with Gauri to talk to her again, but Gauri thought that would neither be a good idea nor would it change something...

Some time later, TOI published the article, I've posted (27th of September)...the next day, late evening, Salman drove to Aish's parents' house and wanted to talk to Aish but her parents declined because Salman was drunk and Aish didn't want to talk to him. Salman made a lot of noise and the parents said they would call the police. After that, the same night, the accident happened...

Btw, SRK wasn't the only one to produce the movie and got advised to change the heroine. Also the distributor (UTV) wanted a quick solution as there was a date for the release.

Well yes that was the sequence of the events but we can't blame her for trying to calm him down by getting into his car. Maybe she panicked when he started yelling obscenities linking her to other guys including Shah Rukh. Maybe she didn't want the guys to get into a physical fight. Maybe she had a sexual relationship with Salman but didn't want him to reveal that during the tantrum. Who knows. In hindsight yes it was the 'wrong' decision but it probably wasn't easy for her to arrive at any decision when this was going on. Nearly 25 years later she's still being sl#t shamed and blamed for HIS behavior. I've met educated women who claimed other women who got abused in marriages must have done something to 'provoke' the guys. So the first instinct is to keep as much of a low profile as possible before you prepare yourself mentally for the gaslighting from others WHILE you get abused further by the same man in some way or the other. To her , escaping from the set herself without having to face others ( not just the cast that she was on friendly terms with but the crew members drivers caterers and God knows who else was there ) while also getting him out of there before he said more obscene things about her , must have seemed like a good idea and I get why.

I get what you mean and I think you're right in a certain way. Aish said that she would better go with Salman to calm him down as, indeed, Salman was on the point to get physical against people (before it had only been set pieces).

However, Aish still did not leave Salman after this incident. So, there could easily have been that on repeat during the Chalte shooting... and as I told - budget was an issue. Those who know SRK, also know that he wants/needs an enjoyable shooting ambiance - focussed/intense (even strenuous) work but also fun, cooperative, friendly. He himself would do his part for such an ambiance...others should do, too.

Anyways....you're right... it was 23 years ago...and Aish definitely was not the one being in a power position. Neither was SRK...not at that time...not against Salman.
