Yes. I remember there were statues and sort of life-sized figures and cutouts with all the flying red dupattas hindering the vision of human eye.

She brought SRK and shot scenes in the first two episodes featuring herself as well I think. I seriously don't know why I'm not a fan of the Internet favourites. I clearly didn't like Parth and Erica's performances and their roles were nauseating. What the heck were Anurag and Prerna doing man?! Bridge se gira diya aur London pahunch gayi. Bro why the heck did they meet at that pandal. Kumkum gir gaya haath se, ghar pe aa gayi. Komolika went from nikaa to feeka-

Don't get me started on Rishabh Bajaj. Although KSG's Mr. Bajaj was probably the sanest in that show.

Ekta Maata stayed away from Star after this one, I believe. Yeh Hai Chahatein aired throughout COVID up until last year I believe. But there were opinions that Star didn't promote YHC and it gained ratings on its own. Star shaded Ekta LOL, whose shows made it a leading channel.

Don't watch the show in any case. No matter what. The clips are your best friends. Sochna bhi mat. Jitna jaante ho aap utna kaafi hai. You have witnessed and experienced Ganja so this is too pheeka in front of Ganja but still. For your own sanity. Ganjopium in any form is dangerous to health.

To be fair, Star did promote the show… just they weren’t filled with enthusiasm And honestly, who can blame them? The poor souls were probably dizzy trying to keep track — Rudraksh and Prerna broke up, got back together, switched roles, married other people, came back, even reincarnated FFS!!! and still ended up in the same dramatic loop.
At some point, even the promo team must’ve thrown their hands up like, “Yeh ho kya raha hai?”
Yet another god-awful soap added to the ever-growing Hall of What-Was-This-Even.

Past favours? Never heard of them. The only thing that matters is whether your show is currently pulling in TRPs. Bring in the numbers, and you’re suddenly their fair-headed child — all praise, all promo. But the moment the buzz dips? You’ll be ghosted harder than a side character in a leap. Even Rishta isn’t safe — RS or not, if the views tank, the axe swings. Loyalty is for fan clubs, not broadcasters.

Nooo P, I haven’t unlocked the masochist level yet 🤣 I value my last remaining brain cells. Signing up to watch that show feels like signing up for a migraine in HD.

If the audience finds a character engaging, they’ll continue watching even if the actor portraying them isn’t particularly strong. A case in point is the Anjali Awasthi show.

I mean come on, HC has one of the biggest and and a very loyal fan base in ITV, but even he couldn’t keep Rishta from wobbling. TRPs rose, dipped, rose again — like any other show. Star power isn’t a safety net.

It’s not like Rupali Ganguly suddenly forgot how to act. She’s been consistently above average, same old bechari dukhyari “quasi-empowered” orat . But Anupamaa still went through a rough patch, it has seen 1.8 ( I’m not too sure if it went below this ) despite once hitting a whopping 4.1 TRP several times. Since COVID, no show has crossed 2.6 — and nowadays, if a show hits 2, they throw a party. That’s how low the bar has shifted.

Big-name actors with massive fan followings have all seen their shows dip in ratings. So really, actors don’t bring much to the table if the character or storyline isn’t working. Bhavika isn’t going to pull a miracle if Savi’s return doesn’t land. Period.

And let’s be real — unless they manage to rope in Shah Rukh Khan (which, lol, good luck with that), no ITV show is going to stay on top forever. Even if SRK did show up, viewers would still switch the channel if the content’s dull. People aren’t stuck with one show anymore — we’re in the swipe-left era. Don’t like it? Flip the channel and move on. No drama required.

So yeah — whether Savi can save this sinking ship? That’s for the time, audience and TRPs to decide. Until then, all bets are off.

*** this is especially for people who think one actor can make or break a show. Ganjophiles better serve popcorn-worthy drama — or they might as well start prepping for the off-air announcement.

True ...No actor alone can bring success and ITV has a format of " weird triangles" , It is delivering results all the time ...It is a collective effort . I doubt Savi can bring back Ghum where it was earlier ...Wait and see what happens . There should be some good twists that attract TRP viewers...

You guys are making awesome points today! But just think about me - I was watching two shows only. One was ghum which I stopped after savi madam ke ashubh kadam pade. And the other was Kaise mujhe tum mil gaye, which went off air. And now there are talks that Patru of ghum fame and lead actor from Kaise are both going to be part of Jhanak post leap 😵😵 do forums ka do duniya ka clash ! That forum will be kalesh x 50 if the talks go through.

In my defence, I was surprised because I did not expect that to happen. But yes, I admit that I had messaged the makers and the channel multiple times to get her replaced. My opinion did NOT matter, but yeah, ultimately it happened.
