If the audience finds a character engaging, they’ll continue watching even if the actor portraying them isn’t particularly strong. A case in point is the Anjali Awasthi show.

I mean come on, HC has one of the biggest and and a very loyal fan base in ITV, but even he couldn’t keep Rishta from wobbling. TRPs rose, dipped, rose again — like any other show. Star power isn’t a safety net.

It’s not like Rupali Ganguly suddenly forgot how to act. She’s been consistently above average, same old bechari dukhyari “quasi-empowered” orat . But Anupamaa still went through a rough patch, it has seen 1.8 ( I’m not too sure if it went below this ) despite once hitting a whopping 4.1 TRP several times. Since COVID, no show has crossed 2.6 — and nowadays, if a show hits 2, they throw a party. That’s how low the bar has shifted.

Big-name actors with massive fan followings have all seen their shows dip in ratings. So really, actors don’t bring much to the table if the character or storyline isn’t working. Bhavika isn’t going to pull a miracle if Savi’s return doesn’t land. Period.

And let’s be real — unless they manage to rope in Shah Rukh Khan (which, lol, good luck with that), no ITV show is going to stay on top forever. Even if SRK did show up, viewers would still switch the channel if the content’s dull. People aren’t stuck with one show anymore — we’re in the swipe-left era. Don’t like it? Flip the channel and move on. No drama required.

So yeah — whether Savi can save this sinking ship? That’s for the time, audience and TRPs to decide. Until then, all bets are off.

*** this is especially for people who think one actor can make or break a show. Ganjophiles better serve popcorn-worthy drama — or they might as well start prepping for the off-air announcement.

Yeh hi toh baat hai. Ghum ka central point sai ka character aur chawan family ke dynamics the jo audience enjoy karti thi.

Aaj Ayesha Singh ke new show ko dekh lo nobody cares. Same with neil bhatt.

It was virat and sai character that audience like.

Jab fans ko yeh samaj aa jayega ki actors nahi story aur actors se audience engage hoti hai. Phir yeh fanwar hi nahi hogi.

I remember people I this forum used to say Ayesha Singh must leave ghum and she will get better work . Look today she is an actress of flop show jo koi nahi dekhta.

SRK was roped in to launch Kasauti Zindagi Kay season 2 (Erica, Parth wala). So its not that SRK hasnt done it. KZK S2 did ok ok not like S1 (Shweta Tiwari wala), hence, such things doesnt matter.

Arrey this one! Yeah, I saw this promo when it aired. Rail ki patriyaan yada yada. The show was horrible. Both Erica and Parth couldn't save that show. I wonder what Ekta Maata thought of when she rebooted KZK. But if this hadn't gone off air, Ganja would have never come. Also, I'm not a fan of flying dupattas. Personal experience and it is NOT romantic or tragic in anyway.

Oooh man you should have been here a few years back KZK2 was one of the most kaleshi forums lmao. They would have totally shaded you so much for this comment. ( not that you’d care but truth hurts) But yes, that show was god awful

I remember KZK2 like it was yesterday LOL. One of the most awful shows I have seen (Ganja's closest contender). Kaleshi? I would have given a parody song to them as well. Plus it had SRK promoting it. So ek iconic song toh un shaders ko shade karne ke liye dedicate kar deti main.

It is Ekta’s personal failure actually. She did a lot of promotions — Mumbaikars might now. A friend of mine told me how much she spent for the marketing alone. They weren’t able to recover the costs because it wasn’t bringing in the expected revenue / TRP. She had a beef with SP, because they wanted to off air the show ( prime time show tha, it wasn’t bringing TRPs. Sitara doesn’t care who you are, if your show isn’t bringing TRPs, you are shown the door. They are indiscriminate like that )

She didn’t televise any shows in SP after that for a long time.

This reboot was a kalank on my time iconic show KZK 1. I was a teenager when KZK1 aired and we were going gaga over AnuPre, like literally!!! It was a heartthrob show

I like Erica and Hina, but honestly, they don’t quite match up to Shweta and Urvashi. I haven’t watched either season fully, but I’ve seen enough clips to know.
