If you follow any isrealis they will repeatedly tell you that India is the only other country in the world where they have never been persecuted and love it

we are natural allies faced with the same problem against Islamic terrorism.

I am glad more Indians are waking up to this reality every day as I speak to my friends. Sometimes it has to hit home ..for one to realize.

Prime Minister Modi is not one to speak impulsively or without purpose—his statements are measured, strategic, and carry significant weight both domestically and internationally. Unlike leaders such as Donald Trump or Nawaz Sharif, Modi maintains a stature built on calculated diplomacy and national interest. He has long anticipated that Pakistan would violate ceasefire agreements and that China could play a destabilizing role by covertly supporting Islamabad.

The recent developments surrounding U.S.–China trade relations reveal a concerning pattern. The only reason China had exercised restraint in openly backing Pakistan was due to the economic pressure imposed by U.S. tariffs. Their commercial dependence on trade with the United States had kept their geopolitical ambitions in check. However, if these tariffs are lifted, Beijing may feel emboldened to more openly support Pakistan as a counterweight to India, especially in the current regional climate.

The timing of Washington’s tariff reconsideration raises serious questions. It appears to be a calculated move, possibly designed to gain leverage over India at a moment of strategic tension. This underlines a long-standing reality: the United States often acts in its own immediate interests, not out of loyalty to any ally. It is a reminder that while America can be a partner, it is rarely a dependable one in the long term.

This moment should serve as a crucial lesson for India’s foreign policy establishment. Strengthening alliances with more consistent partners like Israel and Russia—nations that have historically shown strategic alignment and reliability—may serve India’s long-term interests better than relying too heavily on a volatile relationship with the U.S.

Your problem Exactly is what one of my friends has. WHY DID CONGRESS NOT DO ALL THIS ON THIER TIME? smiley39The problem exactly is BJP doing all this. My friend is sad for same reasons. Trying to show he is happy but weaseling out on random issues like media created this and that.

Anyways waise bhi bahut zyada podcasters etc pasand nahi aate. They make a few videos and consider themselves important people.

Unreal BrainRot tbh. Enemy is right in claiming victory. I would have asked like last time Kahan se aisa thinking aata hai but since you are congi not surprised.

2nd time I judged a person wrongly. First was when I called Rishabh Pant a Hack.

@BOLD : REALLY? REALLY? REALLY? What exactly did your fav Iron lady did in 1971? Won the war. Seized a part of Enemy but let them free to create thier own nation? smiley37 thats a bigger blunder. If it was integrated in India that time a huge problem of illegal infiltrators could have been controlled and Bengal wouldn't be in dire condition now.

Why are you blaming and personally attacking me I don't understand. I know you will by yourself be convinced I am a Congress supporter and any answer of mine wouldn't change it, so I will not try to stop it. I tried to explain it twice but you aren't trying to get my point.

I have no issues with why Congress did (or not did) at their times because I had zero expectations from them but I did have expectations from Modi and Rajnath or the current regime and hence I am expressing my thoughts and sadness here. Why can't I do that without being labelled?

Why I said enemy is right in claiming victory? I have said multiple times but since I respect you a lot I will do that again. It's for two reasons.

1) Narrative war is most important and we are starting to lag there. Western media(or all the other countries for that matter) is putting a rogue state of Pakistan and us on the same pedestal. On paper this time it's becoming that we have started the scuffle. I think we can still buckle up and win the narrative war that's very important in next few days

2)We destroyed everything in there and yet Pakistan is back to do what they have been always doing (by breaking the ceasefire). They will continue to back the terrorists, so even after destroying so much we didn't achieve what we should have (or at least in my opinion we wanted to achieve). Unless our aim was to reduce their military capacity while they still continue a rogue, then we definitely won.

We all know that Pakistan was nowhere near us in the battle but wars are not only fought on ground, it's equally (if not more) about narrative and objectives.

About Indira, she lost the war on negotiation table that our army had won on ground. She had an option to get back POK which she didn't, she had an option to get back all our POWs back but she didn't. Isn't that what is happening now(unless as I said that we make them agree to our terms on 12th), they needed a ceasefire, we should have asked for them to handover all the terrorists who attacked Hindus in Pahalgam, and also the likes of Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.

But Indira did win the narrative war, it was simple they attacked us and we were forced to become a party.

And I am happy she didn't make Bangladesh a part of India, that would have meant more number of you know whom in our country. That would have become the second Kashmir with the majority there. Kashmir has a very small population, BD back then had over 3 crore people most of them..

Khair I think you have become opinionated about me being anti BJP or being a Congressi so howsoever much I try to explain you will not believe me.

From now onwards I will support Jews and Israel unconditionally. I had said few days back that I am split but not anymore.

I don't care what Israel is doing or whom that land actually belongs to. When they didn't care about India why shall we care about others.

Israel was the only country that openly supported us..

I truly don’t understand the widespread panic and overreaction. Are we, as ordinary citizens, really in a position to claim we know better than those entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the nation? Prime Minister Modi, his cabinet, our armed forces, and the intelligence community possess far more nuanced insights and strategic foresight than we do from the outside looking in.

If our leadership were to react impulsively—issuing rash statements or retaliating without calculated strategy—they would be no different from the chaotic and often erratic behavior of Nawaz Sharif or Donald Trumpsmiley8. What sets our leadership apart is precisely the composure and restraint they exhibit, even under immense pressure.

Modi has always operated on the principle that words must carry weight, not be wasted for the sake of appeasement or outrage. When he speaks, it resonates because it is measured, purposeful, and grounded in substance. In an era of noise and reactionary politics, the discipline to remain silent when necessary is a mark of statesmanship, not weakness.

Yes, many of us are angry over recent developments following the ceasefire talks—but can we even begin to imagine the depth of anger and strategic pressure felt by those at the helm? And yet, they choose silence. That silence is not indifference—it is resolve. It is the calm before a response, one that will be delivered not through loud rhetoric, but through decisive action when the moment demands it.

I trust my Prime Minister’s silence. I believe it carries within it a calculated response, perhaps not through open conflict but through other channels—economic, diplomatic, or strategic—that will deliver the message to those who undermine our sovereignty. Silence, in the hands of wise leadership, is not submission. It is preparation.

I agree with most of what you said.

May I say it’s not a lesson they need to learn because the Indian foreign policy establishment has known this for the longest time. Hence we bought S 400 and also oil (btw europe does too etc but they just point fingers at us ). In fact US too is very much an ally too as it has not alienated India in recent years and accepted our position for securing India’s needs. In fact it was US that ensure access to NSG for India for nuclear power plants. And they have recognized that India too will look after its interests like it does.

My only point is let’s not be hasty to say what India needs to learn at times when it appears it already has been acting the way you suggested. Just recently Dr Jaishankar said, we are looking for partners not preachers ..when refering to certain European countries.

US establishment has a lot in the works with India behind the scenes. It has grown in importance. But has long ways to go still. It’s a journey…with probably many speed bumps …as usual for this global world.
