Christians who converted from Dalits get 1 % reservation.

This is the reason why most Dalits who are actually Christians don't document themselves as Christians if they do so they lose SC status. That's why they document themselves as SC Hindus.

If any BC community person converts to Christianity they lose their BC status so they too don't document their status as Christians.

As for STs religion doesn't matter. Irrespective of their religion they get same benefits.

Outside of Kerala, Goa and North East India the Christian population amounts just about 1%.

In South Indian states Dalits Christians account to 70% in some communities upto 90% but only 1-2% of these state their religion as Christianity.Rest are officially Hindus.

In some states where Caste census took place people who followed Christian faith were forced to decide between their faith and their community. The data collection software was designed in such a way that if they mention Christianity as their religion the option for caste column disappears.

If they include Muslims in caste census same should be done for Christians too.

Afterall caste depends on ethnicity and not on faith. All Indians are born into some or other caste regardless of the religion they adapt.

This is exactly my stance. There's no way I will vote for Congress or SP but that doesn't mean I won't voice my opinions or doubts against BJP's decisions & actions. I'm no political expert but whatever my small brain & heart think & feel, I will voice that opinion whether someone likes it or not. If BJP can announce caste census at this time then people are also justified in voicing their criticisms at this time.
