Quite a choice of words when the parents just got screwed figuratively.
Yes some people leave their elderly parents in the street. There was that video of an old lady during the first lockdown . She was abandoned by one son. She took a train to the other son's place. He refused to take her in. She sat at a train station not knowing what to do. No money nothing. Then there was that elderly couple who committed the S word because the kids never called them or checked in on them. That's Nothing compared to other stories of abuse .
There's the other side too. Parents who abuse their kids during their childhood and adolescence and then expect to be taken care of when they get frail and the kids are trying to heal. Screw them. I would want to earn enough money to build streets where such people can be abandoned.
I have not seen video of kushal sio will not comment on this issue
Most indian parents try to dictate terms to even adult kids once they are above 30 or married too
I have seen even single or married girls who wear jeans shorts are terrified of their parents and in laws when they visit them in metro/city and start wearing ghunghat and salwar else dress very modernly at home and office
Further the parents start interfering in kids daily life in city saying do not wear this, cook this only, do not waste money for hotel or gym or kids tutions etc they start treating 25 or 35 year old kids(daughters especially and sons too) like some 10 year old kids and dictating their life
After a certain age adult kids require freedom to live life as per their wish, they cannot keep obeying parents like 5 or 10 year old child all lif. If parents live to 90 you cannot expect a son or daughter to obey parent till 60 years and not live a independent life at all as per their wish, but society and parents want that that their kids should act like 10 year old obeying all orders till their parents die.
Indian parents are too over bearing compared to other parents hence many times kids are frustrated and tend to misbehave with aged parents
Also you never know how these parents have treated them as kids or adults when they were not working
I know ppl whose fathers hit their sons even as adults at home at 25 or 30 years old etc because they are used to raising hands in name of discipline or disobedience all life on their kids and these guys work in big big companies earning lots only to go back and take abuse from parents which causes resentment.
I know in It companies those who work in top companies the daughter in laws coming and complaining how hubby parents control hubby or abuse hubby in front of them dictating terms of how they should live as per parents wish when they visit citys or live with them as retired. Many sons or daughter want parent never to retire or settle in home town and never come to live with them in big city at any cost as same dominating and abuse shall start again which made them leave native and run to big city for freedom.
So its obvious such sons or daughters when they go to big city and metro start earning in lakhs are independent will start resenting parents who have abused them physically mentally all life
We must also look at other side of why adult kids start hating aged parents - its not only saas- bahu dramas always
No one hates parents if they abuse or hit one day as kid or adult once or twice etc there is long history behind it, usually kids have taken abuse and toxic life for 25 or 35 years than only retaliate or do not want relation with parents
But in this age obsessed country parents are always god grandparents are always god and no one looks at other side of coin because a kid or adult has no rights no laws against parental abuse
Just like in marriage always in laws or husband is not wrong even wife can abuse(as we are finding in atul subhash and more cases nowadays) , in a child-parent relation always kid cannot be wrong
People must start thinking how are we treating our kids as kids and as adults
Before what happened our parents time in 80s or 90s kids had no good jobs earned less and lived with parents or native only all life they were not much educated too. Nor were there It companies or jobs paying lakhs a month. So for property etc sons were loyal to parents and took all abuse full life.
But nowadays gen who are born from 1990s work in big It company and travel all world they do not need parents property to survive in old age or after retirement. They are earning lakhs and travel abroad etc seen how US/Europe etc parents treat their adult kids. So same attitude like last gen by aged parents will not work now as how their parents treated them all life.like slaves who should obey orders

this is not about right or wrong.
Parents are not things that can be abandoned after a certain age. there are protection laws for old people in India. They should be treated like humans and they have a right to live in their own property.
resenting parents does not mean you throw them in some old age home. then why didn't parents throw their children in some orphanage or ashram when they did something wrong.

I know there are two sides of coin some sons when they marry do not want parents at home
In covid 2020-21 i saw in metro and big big apartment and bungalows adult kids kicking out parents out of house as they did not want aged parents getting covid and draining their lakhs of money.
This is when parents stayed with kids especially sons
Despite housng association and police requesting they refused to take aged parents back in covid times
their argument was since aged are vulnerable to covid easily as they are weak in aged they may get covid and give to their kids and kill them(i know its foolish arguments)
Similarly in city many abandoned their pet cats and dogs on roads saying animals shall get covid (pray how can animal get covid when its inside hoe always from owner no)
But sadly there is no good law to stop all this abuse you see
Cases go on decades (see raymond owner case)
India is not really sch a good cultured country that respect elders or women or treats kids nicely as is myth in western world
Inside 4 walls of house all abuse happens and no remedy
because unlike usa or europe people have no good jobs or social security after retirement
Reading the comments on this topic, all I can say is that there are 2 sides of a story & sadly as outsiders, we wouldn't know which side they belong to. There are ungrateful child out there so are insufferable parents. Who knows who are the victims? It's my personal opinion though that parents shouldn't be abandoned to be left on the street or old age home. If you want to leave them, leave them & go your own way. At least let them have their home. Cut ties if they are toxic.

ya abuse happens especially verbal abuse has no solution. you can not even file complaint against it. emotional and verbal abuse create much deeper scar than physical abuse IMO. that is done by both adult children and parents.
