Tbf, i kinda think this is true. Patralekha was the actual conflict of s1. She drove the SaiRat (and somewhat SaiYa) story. After she left, they tried to create the SaiRat-Satya love traingle and then gave up on it and tried to force the whole SaiRat eternal love angle (and Satya being an obstacle, which he wasn't. Like they showed him a bit obsessed, but nothing like Patralekha. Sai could tell him I am leaving you aand he would haave accepted it anyway)

Had they atleast tried to continue with SaiRat-Satya love traingle where Satya was unharmed and Sai was kinda attracted to him but still loved Virat, it would have recreated SaiRatLekha triangle to some extent (basically like where Virat despite loving Sai but always sided with Patralekha)

I didn't watch the subsequent leaps, but my god the recent wedding looks were BAD. also, Neil's look overall is bad. He is so beautiful, and nerds can be beautiful too, but he looks like the side character😭 I think it's a epidemic in ITV, while trying to age/nerdify an actor for a character, they mess with an actor's actual looks and ruin it🤦🏻‍♀️

Now, with the new season gen 3, the first episode got a 1.8 trp, and that week, the trp was 2.2 because they aired 4 episodes of Saraj. But the next week, Ghum dropped to 1.4 TRP. Why? People were confused about when Savi’s story ended and when the new story started. So, the first week the trp was decent, but then it started dropping. You can’t just blame the slot change. Yeah, it’s a big deal, but it actually relieved some pressure on Ghum. The 8 PM slot used to add a lot of pressure because it’s prime time. Nd The story they copying itself isn’t great, and it was a flop in regional language too, from what I’ve heard. So idk why they copying it in first place

Also, the whole "two boys chasing one girl" thing doesn’t hit as well with the trp aunties They prefer when two women are fighting over a guy more. Even if it sounds outdated regressive, it’s the truth.

When they replaced Patralekha with Satya.

To me it was that surrogacy track and after the leap Virat being married to Thing, left many heartbroken. The audience have been leaving and not coming back.

Ghum 2 same like a fresh start but even too the rating never when back to Ghum 1 days. Some stuck around to see what will become of Virat & Sai daughter with a strong actor like Shakti and great support cast. Makers got rid of the entire cast except BS. The ratings was steady but not high during Bhavika & Hitesh in the lows 2'. I think the last episode was high 2's. Now this with no recognizable character and fans can't accept it. The writing has been trash, ghum 2 was all story from former SP shows.

If them changing actors didn't work maybe is time makers look at themselves and see how they failed the audience since Ghum 1 and end the show,

Whole and sole reason why I lost interest in the show. Extra focus on Pakhi didi and her methods.

I was again interested in this show when Savi entered because childhood one was cutie; however, Savi being third wheel in her own marriage was such a let down. But Savi and kakkad Thakkar had fun moments and family didn't seem as toxic. Fresh breath of air. So downfall started when they decided to do away with Sai beti to Mohit ki beti
