I think they are already showing Malla to have an obsessive streak over Vikrant rather than actual affectionate love. Her obsession is driven by jealousy that Vikrant is choosing someone else (especially someone so poor) over her. The rich, spoilt, pampered Princess (OG ) isn’t used to being sidelined.
