Is Indian media boycotting this movie or are they scared? Both actors are promoting the movie in Dubai and there was a press conference today but none of the Indian channels were present. I thought that was unusual.

This is quite a typical negative "Halo effect". The crimes done by followers of a specific religion don't make a l l followers of the religion criminals/killers/terrorists. The hate is understandable but calling for a 'sweeping swipe' in general will never solve any problem.
