I actually do see where Teju is coming from. She was forced into this marriage when she had other dreams. From her pov, why would I respect a man who wanted to marry me against my will? As an audience, we know that Neil will be a good husband and is the ML, but what about Teju’s pov? She doesn’t know that Neil is good hearted. What she sees is just a man who disregarded her feelings and went ahead to marry her even though she said no to him many times.

Tejaswini doesn't seem to care even a bit, though. I expected better or at least a bit more understanding behaviour from her regarding his family and their self-respect even if she dislikes him, since she was on point with her arguments after marriage. This is an attempt to white-wash Neil, I agree.
In OG, Mukta definitely didn't hit Teju in the function. But She hit her badly when Chavans doubted where Neil's character defended her.
