Hello everyone, as I promised, I will conduct a scene-by-scene analysis of the last episode of Meem Se Mohabbat... So here I am, with the first scene... Before I get started, I wanted to note that certain scenes may not have much to analyze and are brief, while others have too much to say and can be lengthy, and may be split into multiple posts depending on how they unfold while I write.

Also, just to help you with colour coding during Talrosh scenes:

* Blue texts; are my POV for and from Talha. His actual dialogues in Red.

* While texts in Magenta are my POV for and from Roshi. Her actual dialogues in Green

Lastly, this is just a POV, it may be different from others, Please bring forward your POVs as well.

So without delay, Let's start!

Image

So, the episode begins with the car scene, where he asks her if she's now having some senses.

Talha, whose demeanour is more relaxed after things have been sorted out between Aayat and him, finally feels like knocking some sense into her from his part, but gets the shock of his life when she reveals her plans to kill Shariq Arsalan.

"Tumhein kab aqal aayegi? Farz kiya tumne usey jaan se maar diya. Phir jab qatal ke ilzaam mein pakdi jaaogi toh phir kya?" "Tumehin pata hai, tum bilkul pagal ho?"

His instinct tells him to rebuke her again for her childishness, and he does. Her reactions are as normal as they have always been. She's used to his reprimands; this is nothing new, and she's absolutely okay with him telling her how "pagal" she is. She's not sorry for her plans to kill Shariq, and accepts his rebukes with "Ho sakta hai."

Talha's male emotions-- that want to be the provider in the relationship tell her that she should have approached him about the 'aziyat' or the suffering she was managing all alone, instead of all the drama. Though her answer for all the insults and hurt she felt led her to never approach him, Talha's words were a prophecy for the future too- Never suffer alone Aayat. I'm there for you. Always with better and saner solutions. A silent way to tell- It's okay you didn't tell me before. But aagey se zaroor batana.

"Kyu batati? Itni insult ki thi aapne meri aur wo bhi uss Sabeeka ki wajah se. Duniya ke aakhri mard bhi hote na aap tab bhi aapko na batati, aapse madad na maangti." "Aapne mujhe bohot hurt kiya hai."

Now, this is something that HAD to be addressed!

Aayat took pride in herself during internship days when Talha took her side over Sabeeka's views (case in point, the project where the budget of Sabeeka's project was not cost efficient and Talha supported Roshi). And her staunch support for Talha during those days for hurting him led her to insult Sabeeka. It was an impossible thought for her that Talha could insult her instead for Sabeeka's sake. Though he didn't actually insult her for Sabeeka, but to push her away. But, the female emotions in her, though unaware to her, were making her compete with Sabeeka all along. Though initially intimidated by her dress sense, Roshi usually considered herself a better human than Sabeeka, and somewhere in her heart felt she deserved Talha than Sabeeka ever did. Her shock to realise that Talha didn't just throw her out of his life, but from her office; combined with the news of him marrying Sabeeka; hurt her so much, that no words other than the ACTUAL reality or an apology would have healed her heart... This is when he opens a part of his heart to her, which not only mellows her down, but kind of makes her blush too.

"Bewakoof, jazbaati, pagal ho tum. Lekin mujhe bohot pyaari ho. Tumhare wajood se meri zindagi mere ghar mein khushiyaan aur roshni hai Aayat."

"Tumhein hurt karke main kahan khush tha. Jitna tumse door bhaagta tha, utna hi mera dil tumhari taraf khinchta tha. Tumhari jagah na kisi ne li, aur na le sakta hai. Ab mujhe chhodh kar mat jaana."

These words are not just satisfactory for a woman, but also ensure the only place in her man's heart. It's a woman's paradise to be the one and only. Roshi's smile said it all. smiley27

THANKS FOR READING...

Will come with the next scenes soon....smiley4

Sorry I'd been meaning to respond to this cuz it's just so well articulated but I kept getting distracted smh. Anyway, this was a beautiful analysis and I really enjoyed reading your take on this scene. I'd love to read what you have to say about the other scenes as well cuz I feel like you have such a good understanding of the characters and their state of mind. smiley27

Just to go off of what you're saying with regards to the whole Sabeeka thing, I think the one thing Talha didn't necessarily take into account was how big of a blow that whole incident was to Roshi's ego.

Immature, stupid, bachi, jazbati... Roshi has heard different variations of those words many times from the people around her. Her parents and even Talha have scolded her many times because of it. But what made those words feel like a knife to the chest that time around was that her takeaway essentially was that "you are stupid, immature and jazbati unlike Sabeeka". The words that he didn't exactly say, but in that moment when he went after her so brutally for Sabeeka's sake, he chose a side. He chose the Sabeeka who Roshi believed was selfish, mean and so undeserving of Talha's love that it was laughable that she even was trying to get him back. But then just like that, it was Roshi who was the butt of the joke. Because Talha very heartlessly dismissed Roshi's feelings and told her that it was she in fact who didn't deserve his love. Despite all her efforts to seek his approval, giving her all at work and her uni for a simple word of praise from him, to him she was still immature, unlike Sabeeka. She was irresponsible, unlike Sabeeka. She was stupid, unlike Sabeeka. Hence she doesn't deserve his love, unlike Sabeeka. And then him deciding to marry Sabeeka stripped Roshi of that last shred of dignity she had to the point she would rather suffer at the hands of a blackmailer than face the humiliation of seeking help from someone who made her feel so small. As deeply as Talha regretted all that happened, and despite reading Roshi's actions like an open book for the most part, the core of the hurt she felt is something Talha didn't entirely understand until she spelled it out for him. And it was only then that it clicked what he needed to do.

So when we get that beautiful full circle moment with the "jazbati, pagal ho tum lekin mujhe bohat pyari ho", that was that. That was all she needed. That is literally all she ever wanted to hear. Being called bewaqoof or pagal is not something she minds as long as she is the one in his heart.
He said a lot of things that day at the beach except for this one simple detail he chose to keep inside. The one detail that would invalidate all of those mean words he said earlier. And that is the simple truth that he loved her. She was bewaqoof but he loved her. She was pagal but he loved her. She was jazbati but it was only her that he ever loved. She was the light of his life. For all that hurt that Roshi felt, only the words that he used to tear her down could have actually healed her heart again. And despite all of Talha's "maturity" and his unexpected flair for romance I must say, it took him long enough to realize that simple fact. Silly man.

The beauty of Talha and Roshi's relationship and love was never about verbalizing or saying "I Love you" to each other but rather the support, comfort, and unconditional companionship they offered to each other....

Even in the last episode, Talha was looking for validation that Roshi will be with him forever (such is his trauma from losing loved ones before and the damage it caused him); and Roshi's words (You and I will be together till our last breaths) were the words and promise he wanted to hear... ♥️♥️

After those words, saying I love You didn't matter anymore, it became a nice to know (and hence it was muted).... because they had already offered each other a lifetime of commitment ❣️❣️

After Zindagi Gulzar Hai, one of the best endings I've seen in a PTV show (not that I've watched too many shows anyways) 🙃🙃

P.S.: I am still simping over the fact that the show had ended 😢😢

THANKS FOR READING...

Will come with the next scenes soon....smiley4

This was put so beautifully, Aazeen!smiley27 The first scene gets a little overlooked because of the romance in the rest of the episode. It’s really underrated but I loved this scene so much.

This line is my absolute favourite:

"Bewakoof, jazbaati, pagal ho tum. Lekin mujhe bohot pyaari ho. Tumhare wajood se meri zindagi mere ghar mein khushiyaan aur roshni hai Aayat."

And Ahad delivered it perfectly.smiley42

Thank you Mrina... This scene was the first time he actually confessed his feelings and accepted them graciously. When he's all worked up for her safety, she understood his point and brought forward her own, her complaints towards him.

And when he let her know what place she holds in his life and household, she believed him to be true...smiley14
