So every indication is that we will get cringe & nothing even half decent.

Why such horrible plots?!

Like you talk about abhira and their reply is about Abhimanyu but what he has to do with Gen 4? It means you don't want to discuss current characters, you just want a fight by bringing up Gen 3

I don't have qualms about feelings of fictional characters, I don't care what words are used for any characters. I have been in GoT sub reddit, Money heist, Cdrama

People are not good to fictional characters, so I may like Abhimanyu and Naira but people abusing them doesn't bother me because it is their views on fictional characters

I can join when I see unnecessary involvement of those who like those fictional characters

If negativity against Vidya, Ruhi, Kaveri etc is allowed it is allowed against Abhira too

I get your perspective, but I really don’t think it’s fair to place Abhira in the same category as Kaveri, Vidya, or Ruhi. Abhira hasn’t harmed anyone, hasn’t manipulated or schemed — she’s not a vile character by any stretch. So the kind of constant hate she gets feels excessive and unwarranted.

Also, saying negativity is “equal” doesn’t really hold when most of the time, discussions about Abhira end up being hijacked with Gen 3 references that have no relevance to the current story. That kind of pattern doesn’t come across as fair discussion — it just looks like an excuse to start fights.

Criticism is valid, and everyone has different views — that’s totally fine. But the bashing becomes draining when it’s so personal, repetitive, and clearly driven by past biases rather than the actual story we’re being shown now.

It’s great that you’re unaffected by character bashing — and yes, people on fandom forums can be brutal. But not everyone is here to treat it like a battleground. Some of us genuinely want to discuss storylines without turning it into a fandom war zone every time a character breathes.

Criticism? Cool. Constant targeted hate and baiting under the guise of "fictional character opinions"? Not really.

@Abhirasharma: Most of the hate usually stems from fans of the previous generation, and sadly, the poor writing just adds fuel to the fire.

Thank you! I don’t think fanfictions are really my thing. Readers often look for quick progress, and I get it — they’re emotionally invested. But I’m more of a mood-based writer; I prefer following where the characters naturally lead me, rather than forcing them into directions just to meet expectations.

That's the thing, it is about different perspectives. There are people who like Ruhi and they won't enjoy constant criticism against her, there is a lot, she is called lusty, w@hore, baby making machine, incubator...what not.

For me both Abhira and Ruhi are same, you like Abhira so you don't think that she deserves criticism but someone who likes Ruhi feels differently

My limitation is abusive words so I don't indulge with people who don't use good language, rest doesn't matter to me.
