Ani ki ek core characteristic hain is lack of foresight on a developing situation- the need to be fair in all situations is what he looks to achieve. Which is great but also uncomfortable given his peculiar situation

He is saying this aspect in all earnestness.. He was obviously getting prepared for a loveless life with Arshi but he was also looking to be a good father and co parenting also requires bonding. Also remember even when Arshi was pregnant he hadn’t given up on J or his love for her. So his comment today is about how he perceived the situation and his acceptance that his kid is dead; he is being matter of fact I suppose.

Tomorrow when the kid arrives obviously he will be a father and that must be different feeling but how that impacts his equation with J is a separate thing - In dono ko koi chain nahin haasil!! Sigh!!

But baat wohi hai na that he is incapable of understanding that Arshi and him can never raise a child together given their fundamental incompatibility....so again a repeat of the same tamasha of Ani trying to ADJUST for the sake of not giving the child a broken home blah blah....Jhanak giving bhaashans again reminding him how baccha is proof of his dhokebaazi and his LOWE of Arshi Didi.....that's the headache that comes with all this.
