These are chinese novels. Usually most of the chinese dramas (historical/fantasy (xianxia/wuxia)/modern) are adapted from web novels.
of course there's wide range of genres but usually the fantasy ones (xianxia/wuxia) have chapters ranging from 500 to 3000
It's almost like you're reading an itv show most of the times.
the cdrama makers need to be applauded for taking the best parts of it into consideration for the screenplay
one book is roughly 300- 350 pages. That means 3-4 books in 2 months. Not a lot

I read ones that are about to be adapted as drama
I like to have extra information on what I watch!!!

Do you have any recommendations for romance or thriller/mystery?
I am not much into historical or fantasy

have you watched the cdramas - hidden love, first frost, the best thing, or when i fly towards you? if not, you can read their novels. just search up on google and you'll find several fansites (use the cdrama's name + novel + eng trans). These are for Romance genre.
Additional rec which i recently read (it's a pity i can't log it tho
) : " If it's wrong, then it's wrong" (again romance)
i haven't really read anything for thriller/mystery yet since even i'm new to the world of chinese novels. Coroner's diary is a good opt if you want a horror/thriller genre and you're ok with historical setting. You'll find many good thriller ones in historical genre with the 'reborn to seek revenge' plot
