Wasn't Akshara Goenka a bigger doormat than Abhira? Abhira was never a doormat initially, she was very outspoken but slowly and systematically she was broken down and brainwashed by poddars and her love for Armaan took away all her self respect.

I agree with the loyalty thing but Akshara was also loyal to Abhimanyu and Abhinav respectively when she was married to them. If Armaan had done exactly what Abhimanyu had done, and if someone like Abhinav entered, would Abhira not fall for him after years of marriage?

She interfered too much in aru decision..behen she said stay away then pls do, then in her relationship with Neil, i know u might like ak but she was in some way responsible for niel death and ru not having a father, responsible for abir twin death and then instead giving space wanted instant noodles forgiveness, did paternity fraud, did not allow abir to bond , most imp jumping back to manyu within days of nav death ..I mean who does that ..if she truly loved nav atleast mandatory one year mourning she could have followed ,

Ab also did the same they came to senses in marriage mantap one day before they could not or what... whatever it is ru did not deserve the public humiliation.. talking behind her back about her past yet expecting baby from her hypocrisy pro max , running away with ru baby after knowing truth( don't tell me trauma dhe came back due to FIR) ..sly comments swarna aka gold made did she stand by ru no .. please she is as worst as ak ..but she has not jumped from ar to anyone that's the only thing. It's good to listen to other side, so thank you for putting across your points. I don't agree with a lot of things you said but that's difference in opinion. I did like AK till she didn't switch off her phone after Abhir died, but now it's difficult to like a character like her. The way she moved on in jet speed after abhinav died. Did she even love him, the way she used to fight for him and show like Abhinav meant everything for her. Now I doubt that. I won't question her loyalty, because she was loyal in both relationship till she was married to them but she definitely is very fickle minded and her love is surface level.

It's ok to have a diff opinion and as long as u argue and engage and don't abuse me. I am chillax ..unr life ..my life at 44 is influenced by my environment and experiences.

I disagree about loyalty..it's more about what person does behind u than before u ..one year of mourning if she can't sorry she never loved nav. She decided at one point to abort ab coz her betu wanted it. If she loved him nav she would never ever think of it ..she would convince abir.she was spineless

But i think more as a career oriented person and mother than anything...so I will respect your opinion too

Very surprising for this forum

Akshara was a badly written character from day 1 itself. Her Aaru jaap was super annoying. Aarohi initially had told her she doesn't hate her but their relationship can never be like how it was when they were kids but Akshara was not ready to accept that and kept on forcing herself on Aaru and irritate her. Then Abhimanyu came in her life but she decided to sacrifice him to make Aarohi happy so that Aarohi and her can become chaddi buddies again like in their childhood but even that didn't work.

Then after marriage she left Abhimanyu for one whole year and I still can't understand why she did that. The only time I felt little sympathetic towards her is on the Neil's death day. I know she was indirectly responsible for his death but her intention was not to get him killed. She was traumatized by all the accusations and the divorce that happened due to which she left Udaipur instead. I still don't agree with people who say Akshara should have thought about Abhimanyu's father rights even though he blamed her for Neil's death and divorced her. They expected her to go to Manish's house and wait for his anger to calm down so that he can get her back in his life. They hate her because she didn't do that. That day all AbhiRa jodi fans became solo Abhimanyu fans. After this track got over, Akshara's character was again badly butchered. In short it was a terribly written role and hats off to Pranali for still doing this show because uski jagah koi aur actress hoti toh kabka show chod deti. 🙃

Compared to Akshara, of course Abhira is still a better character. She's a typical ITV ki selfless mahaan FL but not as badly written as Akshara.
