The times he initially said… it was genuinely borne of that desire to just see her happy and doing well for her herself irrespective of his ambivalent feelings that were also developing by the side… in the narrative it’s largely during the Avinash track and then the Ad shooting that his latent feelings about J came to the fore

So wanting to see her from the periphery was when he didn’t see himself as part of her life… But once his feelings deepened… I am not sure if I ever heard that periphery thing…

In fact ab toh survival pe ban aayi baat toh Ani hasn’t voiced any career aspirations as he knows what we all know 😂😂

@bold: I'm pretty sure I've seen Ani say this multiple times even after realizing his feelings for her....that he will see her being happy and successful door se khade hokar....that is the zone he has always been in even after resigning himself to stay with Arshi....lol his monologues have always been about wishing Jhanak success door se hi....so the peripheral nature was maintained in the monologues.

But today is the first time I heard him voice out his yearning directly that he wants to be a part of her life in however she builds it....isse pehle itna bhi nahin bol paata tha....ILU and shaadi proposal se aage nahin badh paata tha

That is why it made me wonder if it is indicative of a shift....only if Ani himself feels that determination to make himself a part of Jhanak's life might he then be able to throw off his shackles. Jhanak can still continue pushing him away for whatever reason but him feeling the yearning to be included in her life should be more powerful now.....lol

Ani is in "Karm kar, phal ki ichha mat kar" zone.....he will continue to plead his case to Jhanak no matter how much she rejects him...lol how far this Ani has come from that Ani jo Jhanak ka ek taunt sunke gusse mein muh phulaa ke pagal ho jaata tha ki tumne meri INSULT kaise kar di......now he's like haan kar lo insult but I won't stop loving you

This is not about giving up.....Arshi just clings to Ani out of ego. Ani isn't pursuing Jhanak in ego...and their love is mutual unlike Ani Arshi.
