Yumna is so good in such emotional scenes that you tend to forget she(nashwa) is a fictional character. I can't stop myself from feeling bad for her!!

One of the standout aspects of this show is how skillfully it differentiates the personalities of Burhan and Ammar. Through these characters, the show highlights an important and often overlooked dynamic: young girls, drawn to Ammar primarily for his outward appearance, can easily overlook his abusive tendencies. In contrast, Burhan, who embodies genuine goodness, is often dismissed as "too good to be true," a perception that many are quick to accept. This juxtaposition speaks volumes about how superficial attraction can cloud judgment, while true value, like Burhan’s kindness and progressive nature, often goes unnoticed.

From my own experiences, I've had the privilege of being surrounded by men who are progressive, kind-hearted, and genuine, which makes me believe wholeheartedly that good men like Burhan do exist. I’ve also witnessed the toxic behaviors of men like Ammar, reinforcing that abusive, manipulative personalities are just as real. Both types of men exist in the world, and the show highlights this reality through its characters.

What's particularly clever is the casting choice: they cast a traditionally handsome actor to portray Ammar, making him physically appealing and, in a way, embodying the allure of superficial charm. Meanwhile, Burhan, portrayed by a more average-looking actor, reflects how true goodness and integrity often don't come with the outward glamour that draws immediate attention. This casting choice reinforces the idea that not everything that glitters is gold. It's a subtle yet powerful reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and true worth often lies beneath the surface.

Looks will be there only till certain age but character will be for lifetime and it's good they are showing this aspect too

A lot of our thought process depends on our father brothers uncles...a girl's first hero will be her father and sadly for Nashwa it never existed and the men she saw was to the likes of bhaktiyar and Ammar and now she is seeing Asim and Burhan who treat her with respect so she finally seeing such men also exist and hopefully they will give her the strength to stand up for herself and fight her battles

QEJ is showing a lot of things that happens for real and without preaching making audience to think about it

She emotes so well with her eyes that we can feel what she is thinking...that's why Meerab worked so well even without dialogues we could feel what's going on her mind and what she is feeling

I agree. No matter what people like to believe, she really performed that horribly written character so well. I mean it's hard to believe , the same yumna who is playing a calm n matured nashwa ,played the haughty meerab. And, I must say she's finally giving importance to her wardrobe since meerab happened. Pre meerab era n post meerab era difference is huge n m happy yumna took all the criticism positively.

Good morning Anika

But he doesn't work in the same capacity as Moiz.

Burhan was a very needed character for Asim to come back to his house. Also, as a mentor and example of a man for Nashwa.

There were only two issues for me. He was written a little too perfectly. A little more shade would have been nice. And I don't mean a bad side. But just like a small trait that says he just like us is still learning to deal with it. And just translating him to the screen wasn't up to the mark. Voice and all.

Also, his role and interaction is getting bigger now! Yesterday was kind of his story!

Good thing about Qej is there is not too much difference in minor and major characters. They're all interesting. I enjoyed barey Abbu and Ammar the most. Dado was so fun.

Yumna is Yumna. I enjoyed her work way before paras days. So versatile. Did you think she did better here than DNUTN or Ishq zahe haseeb? My favorite is yeh Raha dil. She was so Geet like from JWM.but it had her own twist.

I hear it is actually coming to end soon. Well..I thought at least 8 more episodes would be aired. I wonder if.it will be replaced by Manto? Manto might air in May. But I don't think that many episodes are left ?

I too will be leaving IF once this one is over. It was both fun and frightening. I hope calling a character boring at times or "too good to be true" is not taken as a stamp for my morality or for others who share a different view point. I guess the measurement scale of morality here is very different. Too bad some fail and cannot conform to that said perfection. smiley44

it's a perfect gentleladies breakfast club and I don't think I fit in. smiley2 they have their own rules and standards with a goal post that shifts when needed. But I must say it's better than X at times. X reminds me of this.

It reminds me of how the loudest voice in the room seldom belongs to the most intelligent mind... or a kind person. It sure belongs to the judgemental perception unfortunately. As humans we all need space and grace for us and for other.s.
