Hello, hello writers, graphicers, readers and all IF ites!
We are finally ready to announce the results of the much-awaited Pyar ka trope fest contest!
If there’s anything that was reinforced with all these 31 brilliant entries it was that Tropes - even if repetitive - are a wonderful and engaging way of presenting a romance.
Writers had 2 sets of tropes to choose from - one that established the storyline and the other that established the setting. Graphicers then had to make a book cover to depict the story accurately.
Kudos to all you participants for a job well done!
Before we get into the announcement, I want to acknowledge the judges for this contest.
We had 2 separate sets of judges - one for assessing the writing and the other for marking the graphics - for the simple reason that even though they’re both different forms of Art and both creative endeavours, it takes a distinct kind of expertise to judge them both.
We also want to be transparent on the parameters the judges were given for assessment and the scores that were allotted to each parameter:

Now to acknowledge our JUDGES!
Viswasruti: Madhu has been an FF Editor for a few years now, assisting, supporting and mentoring budding authors in the FF section while also being the creator of several beautiful stories herself. An automatic choice for judge in most IF contests, Madhu has proved time and again what a discerning eye for detail she has with her innate keenness in detecting the nuances in a well-crafted narrative.
Thank you, Madhu, for investing your time and expertise in scoring these entries!
Koeli: The brains behind the FF section, Koeli is not just a superb writer herself, she also possesses enviable graphicing skills and is the head and mentor for our FFG group. Her name is the first one that pops up as the author of the most FFs in the FF section and also the one with the most followers. Koeli is also very hard to nail down because of her busy schedule, so we are fortunate indeed that she consented to be judge for this contest and score the entries.
Thanks a ton, Appy for your time, and for your valuable comments on the stories!
WildestDreams: Parm is an all-rounder in the truest sense of the word. She shines as an author, possessing the acuity and astuteness to determine what makes up a good story, but as graphicer her skills are right up there too. She started in the FFDT not long ago, and has very quickly risen up the ranks as Ace FFG! She is as talented as she is prolific - all you need to do is go over to her gallery to see how quickly she churns out creation after creation with no loss in quality.
Thank you, Parm for lending us your expertise as a judge for this contest!
Grey-licious: Kriti is FFG chief and has been a mentor and guide to all the graphicers in the FFDT. Her creations are like precious gems: rare, exotic and mesmerising. She is another person that’s quite elusive, so again I will say, we were lucky to have pinned her down! She definitely knows what it takes to make an eye-catching graphic!
Thank you, Kri, for your time and for sharing your discerning eye for detail and keen perception in assessing and scoring these entries!
Do accept this siggy as a thank you, we hope you enjoy flaunting it!
