I am in total agreement with you on this ..but I am just saying a line needs to be drawn at some point and the sooner the better …as much as Armaan is hurt, Shivani has lost her entire life thanks to Kaveri and Vidya ..she became mentally imbalanced and lived for twenty years amongst strangers and then for ten years with a man who loved her like his mother …I mean even as unconnected people, it boils our blood to think of the injustices done to Shivani …I feel the show and the leads have not recognised it sufficiently …Armaan is so drowning in his own misery that he is not thinking of what Shivani has gone through and how she needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool, protected from the world and cherished all her life ..even then, he wouldn’t have done enough to compensate for the life she’s lost …given this, I just feel it would be grossly unfair to her if she had to keep seeing her son being torn between her and her abuser, who is also his abuser ..if this were the real world, I would say Armaan desperately needs therapy ..Originally posted by: Apsvenky
My point was just based on the fact that both Shivani & Armaan are strangers to each other, so Armaan thinking of Vidya while doing anything for Shivani is more of a unconscious reaction than a thought out choice. I feel he truly wants to hate Vidya but is unable to do so & that is making him feel guilty towards Shivani. I drew this conclusion based on the BTS and what I observed before as well, when I said that he will be conflicted, despite Vidya being a horrible human being. So that is why I understand where he comes from, even if he ideally should not bother about his step mom, especially after everything she has done with him & his birth mother.
Also I feel even Shivani understands that and wants to slowly help Armaan transition from that awful conditioning to actually embracing her love, which is what will help him come out of the guilt ge is currently feeling.
