Nah. That’s extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to the director, other cast members, and the crew. Not to mention it’s costing the producers money. I’m sure all the crew members that waited 7 hours still got paid. And from the sound of it this wasn’t a one off thing but rather a regular occurrence with Salman. Everyone associated with this movie should have been OK with all their plans and schedules constantly being disrupting because Salman would/could make the movie a hit?

Which movie did she work with Salman in?

That had been a comment I cited (what you quoted), not my opinion smiley2

It's not only Salman who makes people wait (well, this example Michaela Talwar narrated was a bit extreme)...working with or for some Indian celebs makes you get accustomed to late work shedules and waiting hours...like Michaela did, one learns to pass the waiting time in a useful way smiley1

This incident reminds me of Late Mr NT Rama Rao and his professionalism.

If the shoot was scheduled start at 8am he would be on sets with make up on and ready to start at the scheduled time. It didn't matter to him even his director was and crew were many years juniors to him in experience and age.

Also he would never leave the set until his director announced. That was the kind of respect he had for the director and the role a director plays in film making. He himself produced and directed many successful films but he never undermined the role of his directors.

He was the highest paid actor in the country in his time.

So many directors, film makers, his leading ladies all of them talk about this. They would all make it to sets on time when they are shooting with him.

That's what is called professionalism.

They still have to work. It is not like they can leave after 7 hours. What happens is they will be on set for 17 hours and have only 7 hours of work to show. I doubt the producers pay everyone for 17 hours unless it is a prominent cast member whom they are afraid to offend. There are crew members who might have been hired on a per day basis.

Rajesh Khanna,Shatrughan Sinha,Govinda were also notoriously known for that. This has been happening from their days. It's not just waste of time and energy of the cast and crew of the movie but also an unwanted and avoidable financial loss to the producer.

Shah Rukh Khan has a similar habit of arriving on set very late.

an anti Salman member who played reverse-psychology here in this thread to get Salman bashed here (and got succeeded), must be hating your comment about his SRK 😂
