Nothing surprising here. This is an open secret. I hope she doesn't get death threats on Twitter. Twitter is one toxic place to be.
Unfortunately, ye Rajesh Khanna, Govinda ke time se chala araha hai. It is extremely disrespectful to other people's time. Not everyone enjoys sitting idle when they could have other important work to do.
Well, professionalism is a concept not lived the same way in different professions, right?...And Western ideas of working aren't forcibly the same as Indian ones. German punctuality and organisation may work perfectly for Germans but it won't work (always) as wished for Indians
She shouldn't have named the actor, just telling that they had to adapt to another kind of working...
(btw. from which interview is that an excerpt? and for which movie?)
one comment: "Guys ! This reel is just a drop of the entire podcast. She indeed tell more & more good things about India and how happy after working in India. Check the full video and dont judge just like that."
another comment: "I think the video was about a German lady who has been living in India for a few years now."
an argument that fits to the Indian/Hindi filmindustry, I think: "Who talks about the direction, cinematography and photography in a Salman Khan’s film? He makes everyone wait because he knows the only thing actually valuable in any of his films is he himself and he plays that card well. I don’t see problem for them waiting 7 hours just to be making money off his back. Ps I’m not his fan." (no judgement for good or bad from my side, either)

"Meet Michaela, a German expat who has lived in India for almost 10 years. She is a director, an actress, and a co-founder of a studio specializing in experimental films and theater. Michaela shared her insights on the most dangerous places for women in India, the uniqueness of Indian super-rich people, and why the notion of Indians always being late is a myth. "

Sanjeev was an alcoholic. 7 hours is too much even by Indian standards . Aadmi hai ya train ? Some actors get a kick out of making people wait.

There may be cast/crew members who have other obligations - maybe a family event, an interview at another location, another shoot for a show they are part of/hosting, or kids/family waiting at home, so they may have assigned their hours to the movie accordingly. What happens then?
Not everyone earns as much as Salman to rely on one movie and chill. Others are paid much less and need other sources of income.
If the call time is 7am - 5pm and Salman walks in at 2pm, the shoot gets extended to midnight. So the person who came on time gets paid the same per day amount for sitting there for 17 hrs? How is that fun or fair? I am pretty sure there is no concept of overtime in the film industry.
