They were declared dead officially. Akshara kaunsi antaryami thi that she'll know that Abhir is not dead. She went through immense trauma of losing her first child and had to cope with that. Aise toh if Abheemanyu Birla had stayed the heck away from Abhir and not followed Akshoo like a dog, Abhir would have lived happily with his mother and sister. Even Akshara would have been alive.

Arohi was a criminal too, when Akshara couldn't get pregnant, the way she laughed and mocked Abhimanyu because he couldn't be a father was sick
