Sure, unless there’s some old rivalry or personal grudge we don’t know about.... but from everything we’ve read so far...there’s no indication of that...except for the Shyam incident

I started thinking about Suguna Aunty’s family being involved...looool... What if the sudden interest in Abhi’s proposal is linked to their plan? They might want to marry Abhi to Jodha and then hadap Jo's propergy especially since Suguna mentioned selling Vasudha’s jewels etc etc in one of the chapters??? But then again... if they wanted to marry Jodha for her property...why would they want her dead? It doesn’t add upsmiley39

I am going nuts thinking about this killer. Paheli sulajhne ki jagah ulajhti jaa rahi hai

I made Suguna kameena and you're making her murderer? smiley37

That’s when it hit me...I’ve got something unfinished that I should revisit ... and I edited it yesterday according to Jahnavi Dii's recent update... seeing how we got some sneak peek into THAT morning ... smiley36I confidently told Bharathi that everyone has their own perspective... but honestly... I’m feeling a little nervous about posting this. Still... here I am, sharing it anyway. Please don’t expect too much...this was something I wrote impulsively, just my take on Ayudha Pooja.

No offense to you, Jahnavi Dii. No matter how hard I try, I know I won’t be able to create the same magic you do. But I hope you all enjoy reading it. PBDians, your feedback and criticism are always welcome...before you throw chappals and tamatars, remember this - I'm not that efficient in writing smiley18 so samajh lo

Ayudha Pooja

The dawn seeped in gently...rustling leaves, distant temple bells, the occasional honk of a lone vehicle breaking the hush of early morning. But within these walls, time seemed to pause.

Jalal blinked away the last remnants of slumber, the heaviness in his limbs a testament to the exhaustion of the previous night. His head turned instinctively to the other side of the room, and there she was.

His Jo...smiley27

Curled into the soft cocoon of her blanket, her hair a tousled mess against the pillow, her arm flung lazily over her head as if even in her sleep, she refused restraint. He let his gaze linger, drinking in the sight...how the early sunlight caught in the strands of her hair, how the slow rise and fall of her back synchronized with her steady breathing, how peaceful she looked.

A soft smile tugged at his lips.

Carefully, he pushed back his own blanket and swung his legs over the edge of the bed, taking slow, measured steps towards hers. The floor was cold beneath his feet, but he barely noticed. As he neared her, he crouched down, arms resting on the edge of her bed, his face just inches away from hers.

Good Morning Love! he whispered...

Jodha let out a soft sigh in her sleep, the corners of her lips twitching as if she had heard him but chose to remain in the solace of her dreams. Jalal chuckled under his breath.

For all the sharp retorts she delivered during the day, she looked achingly innocent in sleep.

Unable to help himself, he let his knuckles brush against her cheek in a featherlight caress. She frowned slightly but didn’t stir. His gaze dipped lower, and that’s when he noticed it...her sleeping position.

Sprawled on her stomach, one leg slightly bent, the blanket slipped just enough to reveal the curve of her bare back.

He exhaled sharply, fighting the smirk tugging at his lips. So this is how she sleeps?

Tilting his head, he regarded her with an amused glint in his eyes. Trying to avoid giving me a ‘choli ke peeche’ show? smiley36 he murmured to himself, his voice teasing yet fond.

As if responding, she mumbled something incoherent, shifting slightly, her body instinctively curling inwards as if she sensed his watchful gaze even in sleep.

Jalal let out a soft chuckle, reaching out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers lingered for just a moment longer before he sighed and straightened.

Sleep... you little menace, he whispered, shaking his head with a fond smile.

But even as he turned away, he knew one thing...mornings like these, where he got to watch her in the quiet, undisturbed beauty of dawn, were something he could get used to.

Something he didn’t want to end !!!

~~

Jodha stirred, a faint frown marring her forehead as she shifted against the pillow. Morning already?

For a moment, she lay still, the weight of last night’s emotions settling over her like a fragile veil. The confession. I love you. Period. .... MARRY ME! .... I’ll spend the next fifty years answering your questions ...

It all replayed in her mind like a dream she wasn’t ready to let go of.

A faint sound broke her reverie. The unmistakable rush of water.

Her gaze flickered to the bathroom door, the steady hum of the shower confirming her suspicions. He was inside.

She sat up slowly, running her fingers through her hair as she gathered herself. Then, moving carefully, she slipped out of his room and into her own, mindful of the lingering warmth that still clung to her skin.

It didn’t take her long to get ready. Draping the peacock blue saree he had gifted for her, she let her fingers trace the smooth silk, her mind momentarily drifting to the way he had looked at her last night. With something between admiration and possession, as if memorizing every detail, every curve and fold.

With quiet steps, she walked back to his room... hesitated briefly... and then knocked lightly before pushing the door open.

Her breath hitched.

Mr. Don stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the sleeves of his kurta, the deep-hued fabric clinging to his frame in a way that made her heart stutter. Paired with a simple pair of jeans, he looked effortlessly striking, the sharp angles of his face still damp from the shower, a stray droplet sliding down his temple.

He caught her staring.

Leaning against the dresser, he crossed his arms, an infuriating smirk creeping onto his lips. "Checking me out, Madam Highness?"

She recovered swiftly. "Just making sure you don’t embarrass me at the pooja" she shot back, stepping inside.

He tsked... "And here I thought you came to appreciate my impeccable taste in clothing."

She hummed, pretending to inspect him. "You look…decent."

Jalal chuckled, stepping closer. "And you look breathtakingly gorgeous, Love."

She didn’t move as he reached for the pallu of her saree, rubbing the fine silk between his fingers. "I knew this color would suit you."

A slow warmth crept up her spine as his voice dipped lower, the moment stretching between them. His fingers barely skimmed her waist before she stepped back, her heartbeat a steady drum against her ribs.

"We should go" she murmured.

He watched her for a second longer before exhaling, shaking his head with a knowing grin. "Let’s go, Missy. Before I change my mind and make you stay." smiley43

Her cheeks burned as she turned away, his quiet chuckle trailing behind her. The pooja awaited, but something told her this morning was just the beginning of a much longer battle of stolen glances and whispered touches.

Something neither of them wanted to end !!!

~~

The glass facade of Four Wheels gleamed under the mid-morning sun, its sleek structure reflecting the vibrancy of the festive decorations around it. The entrance was adorned with strings of marigold flowers, fresh rangolis stretching across the pathway. Inside, the hum of soft conversations mixed with the clinking of brass pooja thalis, the scent of sandalwood and camphor settling in the air...

Jodha stepped out of the car, adjusting the pleats of her saree as her gaze flickered across the bustling space. Employees moved swiftly, some stopping mid-task to acknowledge Jalal with warm smiles and polite nods and greetings. She noticed how naturally he blended in....authoritative yet approachable, commanding respect without demanding it.

Abdul emerged from inside, his usual grin in place.

“Ahh dekho tho kaun aaya hai! Jalal Miyan, you finally made it...” He turned to Jodha, his smile widening. “Hello Jodha.”

Jodha just smiled in response and murmured a 'Hello'

“Abdul what are youu...?” A new voice chimed in, and Jodha turned to find a graceful woman joining them.

Abdul gestured between them. “Jodha, meet my wife, Sara. Sara, this is Jodha Akkineni...Architect in Regal... Saradhi uncles' niece”

Jodha’s namaste was met with Sara’s warm handshake and a side hug. “It’s lovely to meet you dear..tum tho” Sara said....

Jalal, who had been watching silently, finally spoke discerning Sara was going to tease him as well “If you’re done with introductions, then maybe we should head inside before the pooja starts.”

Abdul smirked. “Right... because we all know how devoted you are to poojas.”

Jodha suppressed a smile at the subtle jab, but Jalal merely raised a brow.

His phone buzzed. He pulled it out, glancing at the screen before answering. “Yes, Abbu?”

“Okay, I’ll see you in a few minutes.”

He hung up and slid his phone back into his pocket, turning to them. “Abbu will be here in few minutes...”

~~

The soft murmur of voices filled the decorated hall as guests continued to arrive...

Jodha adjusted the pleats of her saree, stealing a glance toward the entrance just as Usmaan and Ameena stepped inside. There was something effortlessly dignified about their presence....The Chairman, ever composed, his sharp gaze sweeping over the gathering, and Ameena, exuding warmth as she smiled at familiar faces.

Spotting Jodha, Ameena’s expression softened further. She made her way toward her, her silk dupatta trailing gracefully behind her.

“Jodha !!! ” Ameena greeted with a smile, reaching out to gently touch her arm.

Jodha folded her hands in a polite namaste. “Aunty, it’s good to see you again.”

“Always so polite...” Ameena teased. “I told you before, no need for formalities my dear”

Jodha smiled, relaxing as she glanced towards the Chairman, who gave her an acknowledging nod. She had already met them during their visit to her house, when she had first learned that Jalal was a family friend of her Badepapa, Pardha Saradhi. That revelation had been a surprise back then... but now... standing here in the midst of people who had become familiar, it no longer felt like an anomaly.

“You look beautiful, dear...” Ameena complimented, her eyes sweeping over Jodha’s peacock blue saree.

Jodha’s breath hitched, her fingers momentarily tightening around the edge of her pallu. Ameena’s words were casual, innocent even, but only she knew whose choice it was.

Before Jodha could respond, the temple bells rang louder, signaling the start of the pooja.

The crowd shifted, forming a semicircle around the place as Chetan and Smita stepped forward to lead the rituals. As Jodha moved toward the gathering, she instinctively found herself standing opposite Jalal....

And then, the world around them faded.

The chanting of the priest, the murmured prayers....all of it blurred into the background as Jalal’s gaze locked onto hers.

He hadn’t spoken a word since the pooja began, yet his eyes did all the talking.

Come here by my side, his expression teased, the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at his lips.

Jodha lifted a brow slightly. You’ll survive okay.

He exhaled slowly, shaking his head before his gaze dropped momentarily...to her bangled wrist resting over the folds of her saree, to the way the golden border shimmered under the temple lights. When his eyes met hers again, they were softer.

You look beauitful Jo!

A warmth bloomed in her chest, but she held his gaze, letting her silence answer for her.

Jodha inhaled sharply, her fingers twitching at her sides. This man !!!

She narrowed her eyes in warning, but the amusement in his gaze only deepened. The priest’s voice rose in invocation, and Jalal finally shifted his attention, appearing composed...except for the unmistakable playfulness still dancing in his eyes.

Across the hall, Ameena nudged Usmaan lightly, her lips curving in quiet amusement.

“Did you see that?” she whispered.

Usmaan followed her gaze, observing the way Jalal’s attention strayed toward Jodha more often than necessary, the way his otherwise controlled expressions gave away something softer.

A slow smile formed on Usmaan’s face as realization settled in. His son wasn’t just interested in Jodha...he was gone for her.

Usmaan sighed, shaking his head. “So you were right, Begum Sahiba...” he muttered under his breath, causing Ameena tochuckle. As soon as Ameena shifted her gaze, the Chariman's expression darkened into a deep frown. It wasn’t Jalal’s feelings for Jodha that troubled him...but the shadow of a murderer. Could they ever truly have a stable relationship?

The pooja continued, but for some, the true prayers were not spoken aloud...

As the last flicker of the diya dimmed, the echoes of whispered prayers lingered in the air...some offered to the gods, others exchanged through silent eyes. In the hush of devotion ... a story unfolded...in stolen glances, hesitant touches, and a love waiting to bloom amidst the embers of an uncertain fate...

This is such a 'parineeta' version of PBDsmiley36 If only I can imagine Jo-Ja behaving with this much sannata.

I could see Prem and Preeti from Hum sath sath hai in them Anushka smiley31 Very beautiful
