Dang cid 2 coming in Netflix now huge

Definitely big! It might help CID 2 become a big hit!

But in other news TRP is at 0.7 which is constant.

The problem is that now-a-days everyone watches the shows online mostly including me. When I was in Bangladesh, I would make sure to watch CID on TV. Since I moved to Canada, it's not possible to watch CID on tv now and SonyLIV is expensive here. So I need to rely on mostly Bilibili, Torrent etc.

Now, as it will come on Netflix, I can watch without any worries and I'm sure many more will watch regularly now on. The script should be stronger now to attract the niche audience as well.

ABEY! You're in CANADA??? WHERE??? Get an IPTV box. You'll get the channels live from India (along with Canadian and other channels) and they have a video archive section where you can get all the shows and movies you ever wished for (including webseries) and they're pretty cheap. You usually pay an upfront fee for the box (between $150 to $200) and then a monthly subscription (between $15 to $25). And I mean it - the price is well worth it. You'll get the local cable channels + Netflix + Hotstar + IPL + all the Indian channels you could ever wish for. And all the latest movies are on it (along with lots of oldies).

Yes 100% on the TRP. Unfortunately, the channels do not understand this. Whether you're in India or outside India, a big population either watches the shows online, on a subscription model, or in a rerun. The TRP only counts those who watch the show live at the original airtime, not even the reruns.

I do think online watching on official platform matters somewhere , otherwise why'd they choose CID to be on Netflix ? Do we even realize how big that is ? It's HUGE !

Let's face it , such a decision can not be taken only based on trp , which was not that great . Sony shows generally have low ratings , except for TMK , as their shows are targeted for niche viewers .

So in conclusion, online viewing parameters for CID must be quite good.

Agree that this will expose our beloved show to wider audience across the world as fans can easily access it from many parts of the world .
