-dodging every possible route where he could appear-

Arre Kriya! Did you really think you could dodge him?! smiley36

I can almost imagine Kriya creeping around the college, hiding at the corners and peeking around to make sure the coast is clear.... all while Rey is right behind her and silently laughing at her theatrics smiley37

I don't know why I expected something more elaborate... perhaps Rey insisting on sharing a chocolate / hot chocolate which results in a charged moment... but in the end, simplicity wins smiley9. Rey pulled a Swayam like move here... acknowledging Kriya's discomfort and deciding to leave the chocolates in her locker. Lagta hai ReYam ek dusre ko tips de rahe hai smiley36.

Haha, exactly! Kriya thought she could dodge him, but we all know Rey has a way of showing up exactly where she least expects. Your mental image is so on point—I can totally picture Rey enjoying the free entertainment while she unknowingly puts on a whole spy movie sequence. Keep watching her antics, because, well… dodging him won’t be that easy! 😏 Keep reading and commenting—I love hearing your thoughts!

Ahh, I love how your mind went straight to the potential for a charged chocolate moment! Trust me, Rey is more than capable of pulling something like that, but this time, he decided to take the subtle yet effective route. And yes, ReYam definitely exchange secret tips—silent bro-code moments, you know? 😆 Stay tuned; there’s plenty more coming, and I can’t wait to hear your reactions! Keep reading and commenting!

St. Louis College was buzzing with excitement once again as Valentine’s Week continued, and today was no different. Teddy Day had arrived, and the entire campus was filled with cute, fluffy teddy bears of all sizes. Girls carried them around with bright smiles, while boys pretended to be cool about the whole thing but were secretly planning to impress their crushes.

But Kriya Ghai?

She refused to get involved.

After yesterday’s Chocolate Day incident, where Rey had secretly left her that ridiculously thoughtful chocolate box, she had been struggling to get him out of her head. It had been too personal, too deliberate, and the way he had known exactly how to get under her skin had left her feeling restless.

She wasn’t going to let him win today.

No more letting him affect her. No more falling into his games.

And absolutely no teddy bears.

Or so she thought.

Kriya peeked out from behind a pillar, scanning the hallways like a soldier in enemy territory. She had successfully dodged Rey all morning, avoiding every possible encounter.

But she wasn’t taking chances.

"Okay, coast is clear," she muttered to herself, gripping her books tightly as she rushed towards the rehearsal hall.

But just as she turned the corner—

"Oye, Miss Ghai!"

Her heart stopped.

She knew that voice.

She squeezed her eyes shut for a second before sighing dramatically. "Of course."

Slowly, she turned around, already prepared for his annoying smirk. And there he was—Reyaansh Singhania, looking way too smug for her liking, standing in the middle of the hallway like he had all the time in the world.

"Rey, main abhi busy hoon," she said hurriedly, taking a step back. "Agar aapke paas koi stupid Teddy Day plan hai na, toh bhool jao."

Rey raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Wow. Tumhe lagta hai main itna predictable hoon?"

Kriya gave him a look. "Haan."

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Tch, Kriya. Tum kab samjhogi? Main jo bhi karta hoon, woh ekdum hatke hota hai."

She scoffed. "Mujhe koi teddy bear nahi chahiye, Rey. Samjhe?"

He grinned. "Accha? Toh phir jo tumhare locker mein rakha hai, woh main wapas le loon?"

Kriya’s eyes widened.

Wait. What?!

She whirled around and stormed towards her locker, ignoring Rey’s soft chuckle behind her. Her hands shook slightlyas she opened it, and sure enough, sitting right there was a small, white teddy bear with a tiny red bow around its neck.

And hanging from its paw was a tiny note.

She swallowed, unfolding the paper.

"Mujhe pata tha tum mana karogi. Isliye bina permission ke de diya. Kyunki tumhari hassi ke bina yeh teddy incomplete lag raha tha. – Rey."

Kriya stared at the note.

Her stomach twisted.

She should be mad. She should be rolling her eyes, annoyed at his persistence. But instead…

Why was her heart beating so fast?

She let out a breath, staring at the adorably tiny teddy in her hands.

And the worst part?

She was smiling.

Determined not to let Rey get away with this, Kriya marched back to the corridor, where he was leaning against the wall, watching her with an infuriatingly knowing look.

She stormed up to him, holding up the teddy. "Yeh kya hai, Rey?"

He pretended to think. "Hmm… ek teddy bear lag raha hai."

She huffed, glaring. "Mujhe aapse koi gift nahi chahiye tha!"

Rey’s eyes twinkled with mischief. "Lekin rakh toh liya na?"

Kriya froze.

Oh.

Oh no.

She looked down at her hands, realizing too late that she was still clutching the teddy bear instead of throwing it back at him.

And when she looked up, Rey’s smirk had deepened.

Damn it.

"Main—main bas—" she struggled, searching for an excuse. "Main wapas kar rahi thi!"

Rey tilted his head, amused. "Lekin abhi tak kiya nahi."

Kriya’s cheeks flamed. She quickly extended the teddy towards him. "Lo. Wapas lo."

Rey shook his head, stepping closer. "Nahi. Yeh tumhara hai, Kriya."

Her breath hitched.

He was too close. His voice had lowered, the teasing laced with something… gentler. Something that made her stomach flip.

She looked away, trying to regain control. "Aap kyun aise harkatein kar rahe ho?"

Rey shrugged. "Kyunki mujhe maza aata hai tumhe tease karne mein."

She shot him a glare, about to argue, but then—

"…Aur kyunki mujhe yeh pasand hai ki tumhari aankhein thodi zyada chamakne lagti hain jab tum lad rahi hoti ho."

Her breath caught in her throat.

Rey was still smirking, but there was something softer in his eyes now. Something real.

And Kriya?

She didn’t have a comeback this time.

She clutched the teddy bear tighter, looking away. "Whatever. Yeh sirf ek stupid teddy bear hai."

Rey chuckled. "Haan, bas ek stupid teddy bear."

But they both knew it wasn’t just that.

And as she walked away, still holding onto it, Rey watched her go—his smile growing.

Kriya sat on her bed, staring at the tiny teddy bear sitting next to her pillow. She should have returned it. She should have ignored it.

But instead, here it was.

And as much as she hated to admit it…

She didn’t want to let it go.

Haha, sahi pakde hain! Rey ko ab level up karna hi padega—warna locker ka permanent tenant na ban jaaye! Promise Day ke liye kuch extra special plan ho raha hai… bas thoda intezaar karo! ⭐😉

The week of love was progressing faster than Kriya had expected, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape its effect. First, it was the rose on Rose Day, then the secret chocolate, and just yesterday, she had found herself clutching a tiny teddy bear like an idiot instead of returning it.

And now, it was Promise Day.

Kriya had never been someone who believed in these so-called romantic days. She didn’t think love needed a schedule—no grand gestures on specific days, no forced declarations of feelings. It was all unnecessary… wasn’t it?

But then, why was her heart racing at the thought of what Rey might do today?

The rehearsal hall was filled with dancers stretching, chatting, and warming up. Kriya was seated on the wooden floor, tying the laces of her dance shoes, trying her best to ignore the one person who had taken over all her thoughts.

But ignoring Reyaansh Singhania was never an easy task.

She could feel his gaze on her. She could sense the mischief brewing in his mind. And she could tell—without even looking—that he was planning something.

She refused to give him that satisfaction.

So she simply got up, stretching her arms, and acted like he didn’t exist.

That lasted a whole thirty seconds.

Because Rey finally made his move.

"Toh, Miss Ghai…" His voice was smooth, teasing, and far too smug. "Aaj kaunsa naya bahana bana rahi ho mujhse bachne ke liye?"

Kriya rolled her eyes, refusing to look at him. "Mujhe aapse bachne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, Rey."

Rey let out a mock gasp. "Sach mein? Toh tumne kal takleef kyu uthai mujhse bhaagne ki?"

She clenched her jaw, her fingers tightening into fists. He was enjoying this.

She turned to him, crossing her arms. "Mujhe sirf unnecessary drama pasand nahi hai, bas."

Rey smirked, stepping closer. "Aur jo chal raha hai woh necessary hai?"

Kriya opened her mouth to retort, but he cut her off.

"Chhodo. Aapse arguments mein jeetne ka koi faayda nahi," he said, shaking his head as if she was a lost cause. "Aaj ka din special hai. Main tumse ek vaada maangne aaya hoon."

Kriya’s eyebrows shot up. "Vaada?"

Rey’s eyes twinkled. "Haan. Aakhir aaj Promise Day hai."

She scoffed. "Mujhe koi vaada nahi karna, Rey."

He tilted his head, his smirk never faltering. "Par main tumse ek vaada zaroor lunga."

She narrowed her eyes, suspicious. "Kya?"

And then, in the most unexpected move ever, Rey stepped even closer, his voice dropping to a softer tone.

"Promise me," he said, his gaze locking onto hers, "ki chahe kuch bhi ho jaye, tum dance kabhi nahi chhodogi."

Kriya’s breath hitched.

She had been expecting a flirtatious challenge, a playful tease, but not this.

Not something real.

She blinked, caught off guard. "Rey…"

He shook his head, his usual mischievous demeanor melting away into something sincere. "Mujhe pata hai, Kriya. Jab tum wapas aayi thi, tumhare andar ek darr tha. Jaise tum khud ko convince kar rahi ho ki dance sirf ek responsibility hai… passion nahi."

Kriya clenched her fists, looking away. "Mujhe nahi pata aap kis baare mein baat kar rahe ho."

"Jaanti ho," Rey said immediately. "Aur main chahta hoon ki tum iss baat se bhaagna band karo."

Kriya swallowed hard, his words hitting too close to home.

She had always been afraid that one day, she might have to let go of dance—the very thing that had defined her, the thing that had connected her to her dreams, her mother’s dreams… and to Rey.

And now, he was standing here, asking her for a promise she wasn’t sure she could keep.

She looked up at him, her voice barely above a whisper. "Aur agar main na maanu toh?"

Rey’s lips curved into a small smile, but this time, it wasn’t his usual teasing smirk. It was gentle. Understanding.

"Toh main tumse phir se maangunga," he said softly. "Har din. Har waqt. Jab tak tum maan nahi jaati."

Something in her chest tightened painfully.

He wasn’t joking.

This wasn’t some silly Teddy Day stunt or a cheesy Chocolate Day surprise.

This was Reyaansh Singhania, standing in front of her, asking her for something that actually mattered.

And for the first time in a long while, Kriya felt seen.

She exhaled slowly, studying him, searching for any sign of pretense. But there was none.

Finally, after a long moment, she whispered, "Theek hai."

Rey’s eyes lit up.

She held up a finger. "Lekin ek condition hai."

His eyebrows lifted in curiosity. "Kya?"

She took a step closer, smirking slightly. "Jab tak aap bhi ek vaada nahi karte."

Rey chuckled. "Oh? Aur mujhe kya promise karna padega?"

Kriya’s smirk widened. "Ki chahe kuch bhi ho jaye… aap mujhse flirting band nahi karoge."

Rey’s laughter rang through the rehearsal hall, warm and full of surprise. "Damn, Kriya. Maine tumse expect nahi kiya tha yeh kehne ke liye."

She shrugged. "Lekin sach toh yeh hai, Rey… agar aap flirting band kar doge, toh mujhe aap pe shaq hone lagega."

He let out a dramatic sigh. "Matlab mujhe zindagi bhar tumhe chidhana padega?"

Kriya grinned. "Bilkul."

Rey placed a hand over his heart. "Yehi toh main chahta tha, Miss Ghai."

And just like that, the heavy moment melted into laughter.

But somewhere between the teasing words and the playful smirks, two promises were made.

One for dance. One for each other.

And Kriya knew—this Promise Day would stay with her for a long, long time.

The Promise Day had left a strange warmth in Kriya’s heart—one she couldn’t shake off no matter how hard she tried. Rey had made her promise to never let go of dance, and in return, she had made him promise to never stop flirting with her.

It was ridiculous. It was them.

And yet, that unspoken weight, the quiet understanding that had passed between them yesterday, refused to fade away.

Now, it was Hug Day.

And Kriya had absolutely no plans of participating.

Kriya dodged Rey all morning.

The moment she stepped into college, she had noticed the festive mood—couples sneaking quick hugs, friends tackling each other in playful embraces, laughter filling the corridors.

It was Valentine’s Week fever, and Hug Day was no exception.

But Kriya had one mission today—stay away from Rey.

She knew him too well. After everything that had happened this past week, he wouldn’t let this day pass without some dramatic stunt.

So, the moment she saw him entering the hallway, she swiftly turned around and slipped into an empty classroom.

She exhaled, resting her hands on her hips. "Bas thodi der ke liye chhupna hai… bas thodi der," she whispered to herself.

"Thodi der ke liye?"

The familiar voice sent a chill down her spine.

Her head snapped up—only to find Rey standing at the doorway, arms crossed, smirk firmly in place.

She groaned. "Of course."

Rey stepped inside, shutting the door behind him. "Mujhe seriously underestimate karti ho, Kriya."

Kriya folded her arms. "Nahi. Bas umeed karti hoon ki kabhi kabhi aap normal behave karoge."

He laughed, leaning against the desk, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Par tum toh jaanti ho, main normal ho hi nahi sakta."

She rolled her eyes. "Kya chahiye, Rey?"

He pushed off the desk and took a slow step towards her. His smirk softened into something gentler. "Aaj Hug Day hai."

Kriya immediately held up her hands. "Nahi."

Rey blinked. "Kya?"

She shook her head. "Main nahi kar rahi yeh sab. No hugs, no cheesy moments, kuch nahi."

Rey sighed dramatically. "Tumhaare saath ek normal valentine week manane ka koi chance nahi hai, hai na?"

She smirked. "Bilkul nahi."

Rey exhaled, scratching his head. "Theek hai. Agar tumhe Hug Day pasand nahi, toh main force nahi karunga."

Kriya narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Itni asaani se maan gaye?"

He grinned. "Haan. Kyunki mujhe pata hai ki tum khud hi aa jaogi."

She scoffed. "Aapka overconfidence kabhi kam nahi hota, Rey."

Rey simply shrugged. "Let’s see."

And with that, he walked past her and left the room.

Kriya stood frozen, confused.

She had expected him to push her, to tease her, to corner her until she had no choice but to give in.

But he had… just walked away?

Why did that make her feel so unsettled?

The day passed by in a blur, and Rey didn’t approach her again.

No smirks. No teasing words. No sudden attempts at stealing a hug.

By the time the evening rehearsals began, Kriya found herself feeling strangely restless.

As the music played in the rehearsal hall, everyone danced their hearts out, but her focus wavered.

And when the practice ended, she realized she hadn’t seen Rey leave.

A strange feeling settled in her chest. Where was he?

Deciding to check, she stepped out of the hall, walking towards the college terrace.

And there he was.

Standing alone, gazing at the evening sky, lost in his own thoughts.

For the first time in forever, he looked… quiet.

Something inside her stirred.

Without even realizing it, she walked up to him.

"Rey?"

He turned, surprised. "Kriya? Tum yahan?"

She hesitated. Why was she here?

But then she saw it again—that quietness in his eyes, the kind he rarely ever showed anyone.

And in that moment, she forgot all her resistance.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward.

And then, before she could even think, she wrapped her arms around him.

A hug.

A real one. Not forced, not teased out of her. Just… natural.

For a second, he didn’t move.

Then, slowly, his arms circled around her, pulling her in.

He didn’t speak. Neither did she.

They simply stood there, holding each other—a rare moment of peace amidst all their chaos.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Kriya whispered against his chest.

"Happy Hug Day, Rey."

She felt him smile before he whispered back, his voice softer than she had ever heard.

"Happy Hug Day, Kriya."

And in that moment, she realized—maybe, just maybe, she had been running away for no reason at all.
